Current Standings
1. Texas A&M 17-10
1. Arkansas 17-10
3. Auburn 15-11

A&M holds the tiebreak over Arkansas (won 2/3)
Auburn holds the tiebreaker over A&M (won 2/3)
Arkansas holds the tiebreaker over Auburn (won 2/3)

Remaining Opponents
A&M - @Ole Miss
Arkansas - @Alabama
Auburn - @Kentucky

Auburn has the easiest finish but needs significant help. Arkansas has an easier opponent than red hot Ole Miss but will need to pick up a game on A&M.

Only Auburn has a midweek game vs Samford.

Resume Comparison
A&M
33-16
RPI - 20
ELO - 3
SOS - 19
OOC SOS - 66
vs top 50 - 13-8

Arkansas
37-14
RPI - 29
ELO - 7
SOS - 47
OOC SOS - 79
vs top 50 - 10-9

Auburn
35-16
RPI - 4
ELO - 5
SOS - 5
OOC SOS - 14
vs top 50 - 11-12

Should be a fun final weekend. The winner should have a fair shot at a national seed if RPI plays along.

That’s a whole lot of A-holes. Pun intended.

Hogs don't deserve to win the west. Just not very good this year.

ya know, I have been thinking about all of this. We are good, just not up to the expectations that we have became used too that past few years. In relative terms, we are still good... not great.

GL all. Anyone's game going into last weekend.

Parity in the West but not sure any end up in Omaha. Maybe we'll be like the ACC in Sweet 16 and have a couple of 8/10 type seeds make it.

So much about it is just getting hot at the right time. Ole Miss might end up with the best shot.

A&M’s team is very flawed. We play solid enough D. We can run a little bit. The offense went from bad to decent to pretty dang strong. But pitching is another story. We have 1 legit starter and a bunch of guys. So much has just been piecemealed together.

As deserving as I think we are to host and potentially get a national seed (we’ll see how things play out) we’re also very vulnerable to an early exit in regionals too. Nothing would shock me at this point.

Pitching is why I doubt we make a lengthy run. You gotta have arms in the playoffs

They ranked many of these SEC teams high because of the bats and Arkansas has been disappointing at the plate this year with many of the stats close to dead last. Arkansas should have been ranked outside the top 15 before the season began as the issues with pitching but now that is the opposite.

Were you one of the many hog fans running their mouth about how awesome this team was going to be before the season?

Auburn tiebreaker

How does Auburn end up in a tie after the rain out today?

Their conference winning % would be different since they played one less game

If all 3 finished with 18 wins Auburn wins due to a better conference win %

Auburn 18-11
Ark 18-12
A&M 18-12

Nope, I questioned the high ranking for Arkansas in the beginning of the year because of issues with pitching. The reason they were ranked that high was reputation and the returning bats from last year.

Now the bats regressed as the year went on surprisingly and the pitching began to improve. So Arkansas lost a chance at an national seed and are at best hosting a regional which realistically is where they should be ranked.

Certainly an "easier" path if you can secure a regional. Spot on with getting hot.

That or the opposite with cold bats can play huge role.

Yeah, A&M very vulnerable to an early exit given its lack of starting pitching and average to bad fielding.

But it DOES have great chemistry, momentum, coaching, and hitting, which COULD be enough to carry it to CWS berth depending on the draw.

Most excited about our coaching and chemistry.

Auburn won't be involved in any tiebreakers since bama left town Sunday before we could finish the 3 game sweep.

Yea, Auburn is pretty much out of it unless AU sweeps and the other two get swept. Win pct. Just won’t make it.

Good chance it ends up looking like this. Ole Miss has been playing very well. They played well in Fayetteville a couple weeks back, but came up a bit short. Arkansas has the best chance of a sweep this weekend. Auburn has a weaker opponent as well, but Kentucky has been tough at home.

1. Arkansas 19-11
2. aTm 18-12
3. Auburn 17-12

Possible to have another rain out. Probably unlikely, but possible.

I don’t know. Aggie pitching has no real depth or strength. But Schlossnagle has done a great job coaching. The team he has put together is coming on strong at the right time.

A&M definitely has no depth at pitching. However, the young guys are coming on, and the team is resilient to win in numerous ways. I never in a million years thought we had a shot at sweeping MSU this weekend given the pitching issues

But the team just continues to get it done

Dude...seriously??? This is comical coming from an Aggie fan!

This is EXACTLY what Aggie fans do EVERY YEAR before football season, basketball season, baseball season, underwater basket weaving season, etc...
