Considering the recent trend what prognostications do you make on the post season?

Going into the Tennessee series we we seeding in the mocks as a 1 seed. After this weekend of the season ended now we would probably be a 2. But we have 2 very winnable series coming up to need to win both a sweep in one and a 2-1 in the other might get us back to the 1 line for a host. Our RPI is incredibly high not to be considered for a 1.

I’m not the person to ask. I don’t follow the season very closely and I’m solely responsible for Friday’s meltdown

I thought we'd go 2-4 against UT and Arky, and I think we'll go 4-2 against UA and UK. That puts AU at 17-13 and I think we'll host with that conference record and RPI.

We are very much in the race to host. Win these last 2 series and we lock up a host spot, likely still host going 3-3.

The more interesting race is being a national seed, I think we need 5 or 6 more conference wins to lock that in place. But we can get 1-2 of those in Hoover. We really need LSU and Tamu drop some games so we finish top 2 in the west and get a bye into double elimination in the SEC tournament.

Our RPI is carrying a ton of weight currently. Warren Nolan has our final RPI being 8 with us going 6-1 through the end of the regular season. I think we need a top 8 RPI to be a national seed.

So we win game 1 3-2 at Tuscalooser and no one says anything. Shame shame. Would be nice to win the series on the road and a sweep would be awesome. Let’s get it done boys.

I thought the series was in Auburn. Several folks I follow on Twitter sure made it seem that way.

I'd give the game ball to Armstrong. He came in after Barnett gave up the dinger with three strong innings. He has that nasty two seamer and didn't walk anyone. Butch mentioned in the postgame that he's been working on some mechanical things for 7-8 weeks and this was the second week straight he'd come in and pitched that effectively. Looks like AU is starting to develop some bullpen depth behind Skipper and Burky at just the right time.

Listening to Todd Walker talk about hitting and specifically calling McMillian's pitches before they were thrown was fun to listen to. McMillian has/had a really good change up that kept the AU bats in check last night. Good win and hopefully demoralizing for Alabama.

(edit) Right now, I think you can trust Barnett and Bright to give you 5 innings per outing and Gonzalez to give you 7. So, you've got to cover 10 additional innings on average over a weekend.

Ideally:

Skipper - 3 or 4 innings
Burky - 2 innings

I feel pretty good down the stretch with a combo of Armstrong, Swilling (he's pitching like he did last year), and Allsup for the other five innings. For the tournament we'll need Sheehan to continue to find his location after his TJ surgery, Isbell has looked good recently, and maybe Jordan Armstrong but he runs hot and cold.

Walker was very good last night. I like listening to he, Fuller and Olson over a weekend.

Armstrong was nasty. It was a good win for us. We need Gonzo pitching strong these last two series

My bad thought it was on the road. Still won the opener which we had been inconsistent winning as of late.

Great win coming from 4 down in the 1st!

- I'd give the game ball to Sheehan. Down 4-0, 4 innings of shutout ball with 4 K's and 1 BB. If he has his feel back like he showed today, he's a legitimate top line (4th) starter, which we'll need in the SEC & NCAA tournaments. This is setting-up like Horn getting his feel back late in 2019.

- Swilling comes in and throws 2 shutout innings. He's now throwing the ball better than last year. Another guy with lots of nasty movement and he hit 93 on the gun 5-6 times today.

- Allsup is effectively wild at this point. He still scares me but his ERA is 2.45 so he's getting things done as well. I don't think Burky even warmed up today!

- Rambusch 3 hits, Pierce 2 (HR & 2 RBI), Carlson and LaRue with 2 hits each with LaRue with a big RBI. Offense is doing what they've done all year. Top 3 in the SEC and pretty consistent.

- DiCharia is struggling and will have to adjust. They are busting him inside with fastballs and going soft away.

Two really solid games so far this series. YEAH! Lets get the SWEEP!!!

Yeah he needs to be more patient. He’s gonna have to have some deeper at bats to get his pitch.

Pitching around him some and he’s chasing some pitches as well. But his on base percentage is crazy because of it.

Let’s get the brooms out for tomorrow would be huge going into the last series of the season.
