I'm a sucker for googling "best restaurant in..." yada yadda yadda. I need to start checking some of these off my list. Dixie Chicken is legit if you haven't been:

Rama Jama's is nowhere near the best restaurant in Tuscaloosa in any form

It’s Subway, no doubt.

Same with Calhouns in Knoxville. It's not even the best BBQ within a 2-3 mile radius let alone the best restaurant in the city

The chimes is solid but it’s not the best restaurant in BR. Not even close actually

The actual article says best food experience, not best restaurant. Rama Jana’s still ain’t that though.
It’s also hilarious seeing regional chains for some cities. 5 in Athens and Moe’s BBQ is Starkville.

Here's one for you -
Mexico Viejo near Baum stadium is some of the best Mexican food I've had away from California.
...and I'll admit to Mizzou fans that Shakespeare's pizza is very good. The fact that they had Stone IPA from San Diego county on tap is even better (from when the basketball Hogs dismantled the fighting Cuonzos).

I can get behind City Grocery... I don't understand our obsession with Ajax. Not even top 5 in Oxford

Not could I, but I’ve only eaten there once.
Evangeline’s was the best food experience I’ve had in Tuscaloosa and that was 15-20 years ago. I know Chuck’s is there and it’s the same Chuck’s as in Bham, and it’s solid.

If the rumors are true and Bert legitimately posts here he will be in this thread. Keep an eye out boys

20+ Year college station resident here. The Dixie chicken is stupid. Felt that way after going the first weekend I moved here, and still feel that way today. There. I said it. Smells like mold and old coppenhagen, and the food is average at best. Too crowded. If you’re 21 and like getting blackout drunk playing dominos, I guess it’ll do. That ain’t me. Flame away

List is all over the place. I would bet good money that the author hasn't been to half of SEC towns
