Hell of a game. Great atmosphere. Knew it would be a tall order to win in TBA and I wasn’t wrong. I thought a blowout was in the making but was proud of the Hogs for fighting back and making it come down to the last possession. I think that bodes well for us come the Big Dance.

Now on to the meaningless SEC Tournament. I hope we can use the extra rest time to our advantage. Good luck the rest of the way.

Yep, our kids fought hard that second half, no quit in them.

I could tell at the end of the lsu game some of our players looked gassed from that tough physical and emotional stretch they’ve been through. It was a tall order for them to play this game in that environment with a short break little practice or rest and lost an hour due to time zone change.

I’m proud of their effort.

I’m ready to fill out a bracket, something I didn’t think would have us in it not too long ago.

Go Hogs!

Have an upvote! Shame there wasn't more of this and less of the shitposting fest that this matchup produced. That said, no idea why folks think the SECT is meaningless. it matters a great deal and teams will learn a whole lot about themselves and what they need to correct from it.

Given how stacked the SEC is this year, it's a free tuneup for the NCAA tourney and (as always) a chance for a bubble team to play their way in.

We only rotate about 8 players and our best defender is out with an injury and didn’t play at Tennessee.. I truly believe we’re a 5 seed no matter what happens in the sect so no I don’t care about it personally. Say what you want and down vote away… save the young men and their legs to try and make a run in ncaa tournament. 3 games in 3 days would take a toll and would really hurt our chances later if 1 of our 8 went down.

ETA: I feel the same way with the sec baseball tournament. Save the arms for regionals and beyond.

Because it is unless you need a boost in seeding.

18-23 year olds don't need rest. Teams turn cold on breaks and catch fire by playing. Football** is about the only sport where resting makes any sense and even there bye weeks can be the biggest killer of momentum out there. The tourney provides an opportunity to get better before the NCAA tourney.

**Pitcher's (ok) but that's one position and rotations should take care of that.

Great game Hogs. I respect the way they fought back because being down 20+ in a sold out TBA is almost impossible to comeback. Good luck the rest of the way

I think 5 teams could make runs. The 4 with the byes in the SEC tournament and LSU. Their talent says they can, and they are playing well at the moment. No offense, just stating opinion, but I think game coaching is what will keep them from going too far. Sweet 16 is certainly possible, though.

Bama just does not seem to be able to ride a streak this year despite talent.

How’s Tennessee’s road record? They are probably the best team in the nation at home...but gotta play on the road come late March.

I think the Hogs have traveled fairly well with several close losses/moral victories in enemy territory. And I have to think that on the big stage neutral site we will have some Hog fans there to help out

Crunchy and losing have you so worked up you're trolling a complimentary statement by a completely different poster.

Much respect to the Vols..... great atmosphere... but I'm dang proud our kids kept battling. Could have mailed it in after that terrible start but fought back and gave themselves a chance.
