He was about to cut back right and walk into the endzone. Damn, that still sucks

A better pass and he doesn't get hurt and walks into the endzone.

He had to adjust to the pass and that's what F up his knee.

Metch and Jamo both going down was a miracle for uga.

Uga did NOT have the secondary to cover those guys. Bama was a terrible match up for them.

Oh well, at least we got to witness what CNS worst team in a decade would do to uga all time best team in the SECCG while semi healthy. That's got to take some of the shine off that trophy for them.

I was attacked relentlessly for saying this same thing.

It was a bad pass. Bryce threw the same pass in the SEC CG and it was accurate and led to a breakout TD which saw us storm back to win the game.

The same pass was thrown inaccurately in the NCG and that could have broke the game out for us. Instead Jamo has to make an adjustment to catch which put press on his knee and when he tries to recover he gets hurt

If Bryce throws that accurately we score there and Jamo never gets hurt.

What if our receivers didn't drop accurate passes in that game?

First is likely. The latter is unknown.

It's a game of inches and shite happens.

Odds without Metchie and/or Jamo were stacked against Bama. But, there were plenty of other opportunities wasted throughout the game.

Uga played there asses off. Hats off to them. Looking forward to next year

He got hurt when he handed his knee in the ground trying to cut. If Young throws the ball to his left side, he catches in stride and never had to slow down. Doubtful he ever gets hurt in that scenario.

He could have broken his leg on the next play. That was the point. Things happen

We've been busting the Longhorns' balls about "if only Colt hadn't gotten hurt" for well over a decade now. Crying about the woulda/couldas with Jamo and Metch rings a tad hypocritical and hollow. Injuries happen.
If we hadn't had a TE on the field during his menstrual cycle or our young WRs had practiced more with the Jugs machine instead of whining on social media the loss of Jamo wouldn't have been so critical.

I think that most Bama fans bring it up because it pisses off Georgia fans. Also it's more valid because we actually did indeed beat the frick out of them when we didn't have half our starters injured 2 games before.

The difference is obvious. We *know* what a healthier Alabama team could do against Georgia as we saw it in Atlanta. Texas only has speculation as McCoy was hurt on his fifth play from scrimmage.

There isn’t a difference. Injuries are part of the game, and our backup receivers weren’t prepared to fill in, aside from Brooks.

Yes, there is.

We had already beaten Georgia. Injuries are indeed part of the game but that is not the issue here. Texas fans have nothing to go on but rampant speculation in regards to Colt McCoy and the national championship game. Alabama fans have a little bit more than that considering the two teams had played each other a month before and Alabama won the game by 17 points.

That just smacks of rationalization. And the fact y’all put me on the same side of an argument as The Spleen makes me want to puke.

Who argued against this?

You sound like a women trying to bring previous things into an argument just to avoid seeing the reality of the facts

If Bryce throws that accurately Jamo never gets hurt and we have a big lead.

What is seldom mentioned in the Texas game is our QB Greg Mc Elroy played hurt, bad ribs to the point he could hardly throw.

We have Julio Jones out there and he's pretty much turned into a blocking TE.

I hear you. Colt McCoy getting hurt in that first NC win under Saban took no luster off that trophy.

They waited 4 decades for this. Nothing is taking the shine off that trophy
