News of the incident was reported to HR by someone other than Crean, which is a violation of his contract and could allow Georgia to fire Crean without having to pay his buyout of $3.6 million. Sources told DawgSports that the university was building Crean’s firing packet as of 9:00 EST on Friday night.

There’s no “cause” when the entire team abandons him and 2 of those players become top players in the SEC for other schools??

It seems kind like BS to fire Crean for just cause for improperly reporting the fight when everyone knew they were going to fire him anyways. I guess Brooks could do it but seems like they just want to get out of paying him. Crean should have been fired before mid-season. This is the worst UGA basketball team in the modern era.

Based on the Memphis, Alabama, and Auburn games, i question whether he tanked games or had lapses in effort. Puzzling.
