Only thing wrong with current stadium is its not a dome.
There have been talks about this going since they hosted the draft.
Nashville wants to hold the SB and they know they need a roof to do that

Eh. Nissan is very bland and has very little in terms of amenities. It is very of the era in which it was built. It definitely needs serious renovations but doesn’t make sense to spend what it would take over just starting over.

Not just the draft, but all the other events it’s hosted and because of the growth of the city and its central location. With a nice stadium, they’d host a lot more major events without question

No dome. Football is an outdoor sport.

I know Nashville is growing but it doesn’t seem like a place that can afford one of these new multibillion dollar stadiums. I guess taxpayers will end up footing the bill? Maybe a hotel tax?

Nashville, TN in early February for a Super Bowl? No thanks. Weather would suck azz.

No, and its not even close. STL is what, more than 2 times the size?
Not to mention 4 times the ghettos...

Why would you build a dome in Nashville? Their stadium already has good views of the city, depending on where you sit, and it’s not like its too hot or too cold. I don’t really get it.

St. Louis is actually about 1/2 Nashville's population.
The more you know and stuff.

Also, I don’t think there’s the potential of more people moving to St Louis vs Nashville. Aren’t more people moving out of St Louis, and more people are moving to Nashville? I could be wrong, but St Louis seems to be shrinking, and Nashville seems to be growing.

In the last 10 years, the metro area has grown by nearly half a million people. Yeah it’s growing, too much for my liking TBH but that’s another conversation

I think people from Louisiana have a distorted view of how cold it generally is in middle TN in the winter or the whole state really. I’ve lived in every part of the state. Most parts of the country would consider winter here pretty mild. Hell i wore shorts and a t-shirt on Christmas Day

I mean outside of California, you could make an argument for all cities to have a dome. Nashville can get cold, but most of the season it’s pretty much one of the perfect cities to have an outdoor stadium. I still don’t get why you build a dome there.

I guess given it’s prospective multi-use it makes sense. For instance, I had tickets to the Garth show at Nissan and it got rained out right before he was going on. That wasn’t ideal. And obviously, if they’re trying to host a final four, it would at least need a retractable roof. Only nice thing about Nissan is its location.
