Even for things outside football. I still don’t like the dome idea. If events outside of football getting canceled do to weather is the prerogative, at the worst make it an indoor/outdoor stadium like Sofi stadium in LA. A full on dome doesn’t make sense.

Whatever Oracle wants to pay, why would we stop them?

Same thing will happen to our neighborhoods when they come. Bring on the Cali money!

Oh I was assuming we were talking about a retractable roof stadium. I agree, a full on dome would be stupid here

Tbf it’s all my opinion here.

Depends on retractable roof type stadium. I’m not a fan of a lot domes with retractable roofs. Most take all views/natural breeze, and being outdoors out of the picture. Even when the roof is open it sucks. You only get a little sunlight with a bunch of shadows on the field. Which is pretty much all stadiums with retractable roofs. But with the new stadiums they’ve created, maybe it could be better.

That’s why I’d say build something that’s more natural with a a clear roof canopy, that flows in natural air. Honestly with Nissan Stadiums location, you gotta either renovate it by millions to make it what you want, or tear it down and build a more futuristic stadium.

Out of the futuristic stadiums, It’s places like Minneapolis’ dome that doesn’t make sense to me Nashville. It’s an awesome/modern dome, perfect for the coldest place in the NFL, has great views as well. Doing that in Nashville doesn’t make sense.

Lulz. I don't see a JW Marriott in Nashville.

You might need a doctor for that foot in mouth thing you've got going on.

No, but I love the pace here and the metro is growing at a very manageable level.

It's barely growing at all. You've added a grand total of 30,000 people in the last 10 years (metro population) and the city proper has lost population and your economy sucks.Nashville is a boom town with a much better economy and future.

As someone posted earlier,"Memphis with a MLB team" is spot on.

If they get a dome, move the SEC CG there immediately

Nashville had novelty to me in my 20’s. It’s kind of lost its luster for me as I’ve gotten older.

Play in the stadium you have. We waste so much money that it is obscene in this country and we treat structures as though they are disposable plates.

Just don't copy Atlanta's atrocity of a design.

Looks cool, but has so many issues.

Nashville definitely needs a new stadium, but I'm sure the Davidson County residents who have already seen 70+% property tax hikes the past few years will be thrilled to pay even more.

That’s the only way this new business model of needing a new stadium every 20 years works, by adding the cost on property, gas, sales taxes etc.
That way the cost doesn’t matter to the people doing the project. They just tear down the old stadium.
Over half the NFL teams are in a stadium built since 2000
How many of the top 50 CFB team have had a new stadium in that time frame ( I understand many have had high dollar renovations)

Retractable roofs are a waste of money when they are hardly ever used.

Well. They now have a democrat mayor like other Blue run cities. The city is on the fast track to hell. So sad.
