Cory Phillips, who played for the Bulldogs from 1998-02, and his wife, Courtney, a former UGA gymnast, lost their youngest son, Walker, in an overnight blaze. He was 10.

This makes me sick to my stomach.

Oh my God.

I had no idea this was them. I had a meeting cancelled this morning because someone involved had to be there for the family, but I hadn't seen any updates since.

Absolutely tragic situation and I am praying for them.

yah, prayers for Cory and his family. He's Royston which is near my dad's hometown of Hartwell. Phillips had some great games for us I think in 2000 or 2001.

DGD. Prolly the last walk-on to ever play QB at UGA outside Scoutie Stetson. Caught many a passes from Cory and DJ. Horrible situation and will pray for them all tonight. Can’t imagine being out of town when this happens either.
