We seem to be hitting a ton of ground balls. 2 hits through 5.

Our bats are on a Jekyll and Hyde run... hell one night, ice cold the next.

That's the recipe for a 10-20 SEC record since our starters give up 5+ runs and only last 2-3 innings every game.

Also Kemp Alderman needs to be benched. He has looked like a 3 year old going up against Cy Young tonight.

Why does everyone keep saying our offense is good? BA is middle of sec. We walked a ton against shitty competition. Very soon we will start the free fall like state.

I don't even know if it's that. Our offense from what I've seen is predicated on walks and errors putting pressure on the other teams defense, and homers. We don't hit very well for just base hits.

Edit: Ole Colonel beat me to it

One thing to lose a game as #1 but to be embarrassed is another.

Who is ready to get swept at home by Tennessee next weekend? Looking at a 1-5 start for SEC play. The downfall has begun for this team.

That’s where the Oregon State dude was supposed to come in, but he has sorta struggled mid-week.

The transfers that we got seem to be busts so far.

Most runs to an SEC team since Florida’s 24 in 2002.

Man, when we win we blow them out and when we lose, we absolutely suck. It would be nice to find some middle ground in there somewhere.

Boys, what are we going to do? I'm never one to get too sideways over just one loss, even when it's a 19-5 type loss, but our pitching staff from top to bottom contains not one single arm that can go out there and "get you a win" as they say. Not one. And as was mentioned earlier, our hitting is considerably overrated as well. We all better dampen our expectations for this team. Middle of the pack at best it would appear.

We should treat every game like it is a bullpen game. Don't expect any "starter" to go more than 2-3 innings. At any sign of trouble pull them out of the game instead of letting them give up 5 runs.
