Would be fascinating to see what really happened between Harsin and Mason. Weren’t there rumors of conflict after Mississippi state? Would be interesting to see what exactly went down to end the year

Folks, this is NOT the PTB.

There were Complaints, as required Auburn investigated those. The rest is internet rumors of Boosters, PTB, Affairs, Buyouts, etc. Folks like to mix all of those together and connect dots.

There is some sentiment growing that HARS maybe back (think jetgate), I put it at 60-40 that he is gone. (That is down from earlier in the week).

Someone will ask about sources, their are many sources, but with the stakes this high, insiders have no F*%(% clue either. Not even sure if ADAG knows.

I mean, if it’s truly 60-40, That would lead me to believe no cause was found and it’s down to a buyout negotiation?

We will get a big hint at the coaches meeting based on if he shows up or not

One thing for sure. No one knows. Which is kinda surprising.

No it isn't.

That's status quo regarding the Auburn football program.

I have no idea if this guy is worth anything, all I do know is he donates a lot of money to Auburn. He’s at my in laws lake condo all week this week and he said that in Masons exit interview, Mason stated that Harsin was a racist.

Well if this is true it needed to be investigated & if true he needs to go!! The problem is I would think it might be hard to prove it to fire for cause?

They were friends who had went on vacations together in the past so how can he be a racist?

While it would be inexcusable if he truly did exhibit racist behavior, people get called racists for relatively minor disagreements nowadays. Racist, bigot, homophobe, etc. are the equivalent of me calling my brother a numbskull as a kid in today's environment. I, unfortunately, have grown more and more skeptical of people actually being racists when called one.

On top of that, if someone is accused of being racist at a major university, you can assume a full blow investigation will ensue.

If Harsin was racist I don’t think Wooten who was one of the main BLM guys a couple years ago would have been defending him.

You know how Auburn can look like bigger assfaces to coaches? Send Harsin to Birmingham tomorrow then fire him afterwards

Our voting was 67 keep Hars, 73 fire him... so 48 percent of this board say keep him... 52 % say time to part ways.

Well this to me created a huge problem. It’s one thing to say he’s abrasive or lazy or whatever, but when you start throwing out the racism charge, the bar raises significantly. If you find evidence to back up the claim, of course you fire him. The problem is that if you find no evidence to support the claim and fire him anyway, you really open yourself up to massive liability. He could sue auburn for all kinds of damages if you find no evidence of racism but hang the charge on his reputation by firing him.

Ok, source says it could go either way right now. Not what I wanted to hear. Confidence still at about 70% he is gone, but could go the other way. Only about 4-5 people are really going to make this decision. Even folks that donate a lot of $$$ are not as in the know. This is all very irregular. Things are crazy.
Harsin has alienated about everyone. From players to coaches to admin. to board to fans to prospects to HS coaches. Everyone. Not a terrible football mind, but just doesn't understand what it takes to be successful at a big time SEC program and won't work with anyone and thinks he knows it all. Would rather hammer on folks than work with them.
Even though this could still be up in the air, there is a large concensus that he needs to be gone, but he is digging his heals in.
Investigations have turned up many troubling things, things you would think would ok a for cause, but might not be enough for court.
It's is nuts.
