If I was him, I would take a rs next season and work on weak areas.

Nobody feels worse than he does about his play. Real Alabama fans need to cut him some slack and let Oats handle him without all the outside criticism.

Well let's see if he spends all off season going through NBA evals and tryouts like Shack. If so, he's delusional and we need to move on.

To much selfish ness in this team.

JD will be drafted likely in the early 2nd round. NBA drafts on poterntial, and now all the teams have a G league team to develop that potential the way they want.

Don't give me the "real fan" speech. I was attending Bama basketball games when CM Newton was the coach..

Yes I'm old..an Old Alabama fan..

At one time I thought Avery Jr was one of the worst D -1 players I had ever seen.. not anymore. The difference is, Avery had no physical ability..JD does, he just doesn't know how to play

Criticizing him is fine. Blowing up his mentions on social media is not.

I will NEVER do the latter to our athletes. If I don’t have something positive to say to them, I will never post at them. Hell, I basically never do it because I don’t even have social media besides linkedin anymore anyway.

Posting on a message board that is probably 1 million miles away from his mind? Who cares.

With all that preamble behind us:

He’s been a big time miss on expectations but he does have the measurables to be a great guard one day. This season is already disappointing…might as well let Davison play through it and hope the dividends are realized in his sophomore season.

The NBA may "draft on potential"...but has he actually even shown any potential? If you get more comments about your hair than your play, I don't see NBA teams using a draft pick on you.

He may not be on the roster next year but I don’t think it will be due to landing on an NBA roster. I’d be surprised if he ended up anywhere other than D-League in the NBA right now. Could very well end up taking a trip across the pond to Europe if the draft goes really poorly for him.

He could transfer but, frankly, he needs a lot of development. He should trust the process and let these guys develop his skills. We’re talking about young men though…so making bad/wrong decisions is a part of it.

More than likely he’s back in 2022-2023. I don’t see how he could be drafted. He looks like someone who started playing basketball very late in high school, not a highly touted prospect since the early days of his high school playing career.

Besides jumping high, what does he do well? I honestly don’t think he brings anything to the table, he has potential but none of it has been tapped into this season.

Another classy post calling out 19 year olds... Come on folks, be better. He'll get better... He's just going through a slump.

If you're going to wear that look then you better be able to play.

Maybe he can catch up one day.

He can wear whatever hairstyle he wants. He just needs to play better for the team to succeed.

Nothing classy about putting a 19 year old kid on the floor that is not prepared or capable of playing at the division 1 level.

I'm not hating on JD...I'm saying it's criminal to put him on the floor and expect him to perform at a high level.

I'm pulling for the kid, but at this point in his career, his horrendous
