Starting to look like a coup attempt by our POS boosters

Harsin fighting back. Hopefully Jay Gouge is levelheaded enough to sort out the truth. If these boosters are doing some underhanded shite, they need to be dealt with. Who the frick knows what the truth is. Fascinating to watch. I hope Harsin prevails because of not, we’re going to be in for a long shitty ride, UTK style. It’s already going to be a long enough ride for him to turn things around. But he needs that chance.

And then what happens when the boosters stop boosting with money?

We are screwed if Harsin continues on without booster support, it’s an inconvenient fact, but you don’t start winning because the boosters go away, you win because you have a coach who can make the boosters pull in the same direction

I see it the opposite way.
He has no booster support and doesn't even want it. Sorry, but that doesn't work in this conference. The boosters seem to be pulling in the same direction for the first time; if that holds true and they settle on someone who they all agree on (this has always been Auburn's problem) then the money will start flowing and NIL will start pumping. Otherwise you're sitting here with Harsin trying to run his MWC recruiting pitch in the SEC. He seems completely blind to how to operate in this conference, and worst of all, he thinks he's right. 2023 recruiting is literally already lagging; their first Junior Day was a flop, and these guys have the #1 basketball team in the country and they don't understand that you need to leverage that for recruiting. They had Kentucky playing here in a battle for the SEC and didn't bring any football recruits in. The "word" is that HS coach perception of Harsin is NOT GOOD.
Jeff Lee just ran a story on a new transfer portal target that they seem close to offering: a 5th year Senior Edge from Washington State who wasn't even a starter for Washington State. He's played 4 seasons and never put up more than 2.5 sacks in a year. The talent level of this program is depleting, and our recruiting is focused on depth players. The 3 guys from Oregon had their coach leave, are from Alabama, and basically fell into our lap.

Who gives a shut about booster money if Kevin Steele is your head coach?
Plus those boosters won’t stop giving. Their ego won’t allow them to give up the luxury boxes and their names in the program.

If they succeed, no decent coach is coming to this shitshow

You could be right. There’s a dirty game being played at Auburn. We seem to play it more than most schools. If he started winning they would fall in line.

Yea you sound like a booster. You won’t like this, but let’s be real bama had the same problem until Saban came in and told them to shut up and do their job, which is to donate their money and make things happen. I also call bullshite on your approach because he just told ESPN he wants to be here and want to support, if only he had it in return. It’s literally been ONE SINGLE YEAR. frick your opinion on his recruiting, it’s clear you haven’t seen them already starting to jump on 2023. Also, if you are gonna bring up those SOFT arse players that transferred out then your opinion is invalid.

By the way; our boosters want to win. The same guys you people think are out to ruin football are literally the reason why basketball is where it's at. Absolutely NONE of those guys have any problem with letting Bruce Pearl run his program; while they fund it. The big bad boosters are the ones who got his contract extension worked out, and promised him everything he needed to stay here.
Bryan Harsin looks like a hot mess right now. Look at his goddamn staff turnover and his lack of foresight in staffing decisions. His on-field performance and lack of recruiting understanding don't indicate that this guy's "master plan" is something that will work out in the end.

Confirmed Metafour is a booster and his Rich friends are butthurt about how Harsin doesn’t stroke their egos.

Yeah, you're out to lunch.
He came here and made zero attempt to win anyone over. He doesn't want their help. He doesn't even like NIL - is this something that surprises you? His blue collar mentality is the complete opposite of NIL. He got absolutely worked on the recruiting trail; they had Citizen locked down and Mario Cristobal came in and ate his lunch in ~2 weeks on the job. He's going to continue to get worked on elite kids who are going to get NIL offers from elsewhere. Bryan Harsin doesn't want to play that game, which means that recruiting will be about finding diamonds in the rough.
They are already behind in 2023. Their first Junior Day was a joke. Attempt #1 was trying to hastily throw together an event, and they didn't even know that Bama and Clemson had already scheduled their own JR Day for the same weekend months prior. All the top players had already RSVP'd elsewhere so they cancelled it. When they finally had their first JR Day, something like 5 of the Top ~30 ranked recruits in Alabama were there. That's not a joke. That turnout is literally embarrassing, for a class that is absolutely loaded. Georgia has already had all of the top kids in Alabama for Junior Days, some of them multiple times. We are moving at a snail's pace and getting left behind.

Basketball is really good bc for the most part boosters stay out of it… Pearl went below .500 in year 7 and no one gave a shite. Gus did something similar in 2020 and got shitcanned.
I know it will never happen, but outside people need to stay out of it. Let the Ath Dept do it’s job.

God your posts are nauseating.
Harsin finna ride bitch.

If Harsin fails then let him fail his way. Don’t actively sabotage and embarrass the school. And if you’re going to do that, pick a better time.
Our boosters suck.

Lol he didn’t come here and stroke my ego!!!! Talk more booster boy! Last I remember we were all excited when Harsin came. Then again you know what they say the Elite can’t relate to what us poor people think.

It blows my mind that people who hated Gus are willing to go down with the Harsin ship because he’s not “soft”
At this point I’d be shocked if Harsin ever wins more games than he loses here. His roster management appears to be worse than Gus, as we now have no O linemen or receivers. Recruiting is mediocre. On field coaching decisions directly lost us multiple games.
It was a shambolic first year and some are signing up for more of this shite sandwich because they’ve convinced themselves Harsin is John Wayne crossed with 1981 Pat Dye reincarnated.

Who do you think writes the checks for Bruce Pearl to be successful? They stay out of it because he's competent and knows what he needs to do, and his plan makes sense. That's why they just opened the fricking floodgates and gave him everything he wanted, when Pearl could have left for any job opening in the country. The boosters did that, not Alan Greene who isn't even part of the process anymore.
