Yeah, when did you come to that conclusion, you mouthbreather? After they got beat a bunch of LSU’s backs ups and a fired head coach? Ride their meat harder, phag

What led you to this conclusion? One good recruiting class? Half of which won't be in College Station in a year?
We just beat them with one of our worst teams in recent memory.

quote: Funny You had 3 in the last 20 years And as you pointed out had top notch recruiting And I’m pretty sure I have seen several LSU posters mocking your last 2 coaches that won NCs. Thus kind of proving my point, that recruiting is important. Still remember the Barry Switzer interview where he basically said the same. Winning in college football starts and ends with recruiting. So you say WRONG Well, we will just take our chances with this top class and see what happens. You need the Jimmies and Joes, there is no doubt. You need good recruiting, but the days of Barry Switzer are over where they can just pile talent and out talent everyone. If you to not have top notch coaching, you are not going to win championships on talent alone. Jimbo is an 8-4 coach. Give him Bama's roster and he goes 8-4. Give Nick Saban last year's Aggie roster and he is in the playoffs.
Coming from an LSU fan that literally won the NC with Orgeron not long ago this is staggering. So by your logic Coach O was a "top notch coach" because only a "top notch coach" can win the Natty. Oh, and Jimbo who has also won a Natty and has finished with 9 wins or better in 9 of his 12 seasons is an "8 and 4 coach". Amazing.
As to the OP like most things there is no one answer.
Certainly the fact this is an LSU site and we have a lot of history with LSU and while "rival" is probably not the right word we are certainly primary competitors to them. If A&M is strong it makes it harder for LSU to be and vice versa because we recruit the same area for a lot of talent. Lots of connection points between the schools which breeds hatred.
Arky we also have history with but it's different. We hate each other but we have our hate for Texas in common and both of us hate them more.
As for the rest folks bring up the traditions and such but the reality is A&M is the expansion school most likely to really threaten the Big 6 long term and creates anger and fear. We have more resources than anyone in the SEC and if we can turn the corner we will be very difficult to stop. To SEC traditionalists it's one thing to allow newbies in the league but none of the expansion teams has ever won the SEC Title. A&M appears to be the biggest threat to do so.
Or you can just say our poster suck or we are gay or whatever but in reality you can find those reasons to hate every fanbase here.

Swamp kittens are deeply insecure and they pulled the most chicken shite move in the history of college football backing out of our contract early after we whipped their arse 5 times in a row.

This will get easier for you with time. You will gain acceptance and lose some of this misplaced anger. None of this was your fault, son.

If anything, it looks like A&M is going to run Alabama for the foreseeable future. Cute little losing streak you have against those guys

They still don't seem like an SEC team to me, and that is probably due to as stated in the OP, UGA hasn't them. Of course, Mizzou and UGA play every year, but Mizzou still doesn't seem like an SEC team either.

Really
It’s simple
Our recruiting being at the top
Everyone knows winning it all starts and ends with top recruiting.
I mean, look at your Bulldogs. They have been killing it in recruiting the past 5 years. And Shazam, you just won the NC!
As you pointed out, this has all been over the top since we got this top recruiting class.
Why do
you post like
this is some haiku forum
Good luck with your 1 good class
Maybe try to just get to Atlanta

How is it, at least on this forum, that TAMU has generated such a widespread distaste. I see LSU fans bagging on the Aggies more than AL, FL, or Ole Miss and I wouldn’t have thought that possible.
Being in a neighboring state to Texas, Louisiana gets a lot of aggies slumming over because the UT grads take all the good jobs in Texas. I remember when I started my professional career back in the early 90s, I was talking to a co-worker about an odd one in the office. "He's an aggie" my co-worker explained, "you gotta watch out for aggies. They're either at your feet or your throat." It's still true today, 30 years later.
They're just a bunch of blowhard Texans, all hat, no cattle. We've been dealing with them over here for a long time.

They're easy to trigger. Cajuns are tamable creatures who are easy to manipulate.

Jealous of what exactly? You were beaten by 2nd and 3rd team players and a fired coach. You weirdo’s are delusional. Win something, then get back to us.

You have to understand the mindset of people in Louisiana and their hatred for Texas in general. Their state is small and poor and next door to a state that is large and rich. This has created their sense of insecurity. Despite this, they hold onto things like “the culture” or “the food” being unique or better. They also prop up the recent success (20 years) of LSU football and it is part of their insecure identity.
Texas A&M comes into the SEC, and it was all fine and dandy for about 6 years because we weren’t a threat to them. Then we started beating them. Then we started out recruiting them, and now they see us as a threat. To top it all off, their AD backed up the brinks truck for our head coach and he turned them down. Now the aforementioned insecurities are on full display because they know the game has changed and we will directly compete with them. I’m not saying we will dominate LSU, but you can at least expect us to go .500 against LSU in the future if not .750 over the next 10 years.

Aggy still isn’t a threat to anyone. Remember you were just beaten by LSU with 2nd and 3rd team players and a lame duck fired coach.
