Saban, not only rules college football, he's beginning to rule the U.S. senate too!

Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) touted Alabama football coach Nick Saban's opposition to changing the filibuster on Twitter Thursday after receiving backlash for voting against changes to the procedure.
"Coach Saban is exactly right: you cannot throw the filibuster out and expect the legislative process to work better. I wholeheartedly agree with the coaches that 'Our democracy is at its best when all Americans are encouraged to participate,'" Manchin said.
Saban, along with other sports stars, penned a letter to Manchin before the filibuster vote asking him to support voting rights legislation.
In a footnote, Saban noted that he does not support changes to the filibuster.
"Coach Saban is not in favor of getting rid of the filibuster in the Senate. He believes this will destroy the checks and balances we must have in our Democracy," the footnote read. "The others signing this letter take no position on this aspect of Senate policies."
Former NFL commissioner Paul Tagliabue said in a statement that he and Saban agreed on Friday to leave the footnote off the public version of the letter and out of the press release publicizing it, though it was included in a version sent to Manchin and other senators, AL.com reported.
TTT - To break it down for all of you. So former NFL commissioner of the mighty NFL didn't want Saban to include his rejection of President Biden and senate democrats' filibuster rule change. But Saban let it be known, nobody tells him what to think or do! Love it!

People elected that jackass because he's supposed to know what they value and to vote accordingly.
Not to use a fricking football coach for some sort of political validation. He's a football coach, your elected to know this shite. What a clown.

I still want someone to ask Coach, Commissioner and West why they think so many people, specifically blacks, are too dumb to get IDs and find polling stations?

You need to start thinking about these primitive Americans who have no means of transportation on election days.
We’re not sure how they get to other places they need to go to during other days though.

We're not a democracy.

Manchin is correct in preserving the filibuster. By this time next year the Republicans will be in full control of the House and Senate. It will be the ONE salvation for Democrats that will keep Republicans from ramming everything they want to down the Democrats throats. Manchin will then be their hero, rather than their villain.

It isn't about IDS. They are cutting districts up so they aren't represented.Filibusterer is about the dumbest thing in the senate.Majority should rule. Not the losers.Everyone complains nothing gets done.Nothing every will with stupid rules.I'm sorry but isn't Louisiana like one of the most corrupt governments around.

The Democrats would screw a donkey in Times Square for political favor...they are a malignancy that needs to be removed.

So, Saban supports voter fraud, just not changing Senate rules.

My personal opinion is none of these football names on this letter knew a damn thing about what’s in that bill and is exactly why they should have stayed out of it. They read the title of the bill and think equal voting rights for everyone sounds great. It’s the same problem we have with most of the voters in this country. You don’t know what your voting for but it sounds good or they have the correct letter next to their name.

Exactly.
When "stars" and powerful people who don't even have the ability to VOTE in a state are mentioned over the CITIZENS of a state get mentioned, we are NOT represented.

The senate is there as the framers intended to protect the flyover states. If not the elites in New York and California would have all the say. Look at how that is working out. Just ask the u Haul company. The problem is these goofballs that gave and keep giving the democrats power will probably take their politics with them to their new state.
