Kinda surprising he's already eclipsed his total wins at Tennessee here at Auburn

Aren’t we at year 8 at Auburn compared to 6 at Tennessee?

Why would it be surprising?

He inherited a roster at Auburn with literally 1 single player even worthy of a D1 scholarship (KT Harrell, granted he was a good 1).

Vs taking over Tennessee who already had good talent on the roster, and a solid consistent program that had either made the NCAAT or NIT in 7 of the 10 seasons prior to Pearl

Theyre still figuring this "basketball" thing out. Youll have to forgive them.

I still don’t find it surprising that he’s won more games in 247 games at Auburn than he did in 206 games at Tennessee.

To get to 146 all he would have had to do is win 59% of his games to this point.

No no it's not because of the total games played it's because ... uh ...

To put this in perspective for you, the 2 previous Auburn coaches (Barbee and Lebo) only won 145 total games in a combined 10 seasons.

Auburn basketball only won 46.3% of it's games during the Barbee/ Lebo era

I guess they don't teach the concept of "context" to hillbillies, but the situations he walked into at Auburn vs Tennessee matter

Just admit the thread backfired. Bragging about finally winning more games at Auburn when it took him additional years to do it is fricking dumb and not noteworthy.

Ok, if you say so. I don’t even know what the point of the OP is.

He walked in to a pretty average/bad situation (no tournaments in the 4 years prior to arrival) at Tennessee and won at a 70% clip for 6 years before being fired.

He walked in to an absolute shite show at Auburn and has won at a 62% clip for the last 7.5 years.

He’s a very, very good basketball coach.

What are we arguing here?

Right! Number of games does not count at all. Who cares that he has 50 more games in at Cow College.

I swear. Is everyone associated with the backwards arse state of Alabama a moron?

Took him a hot minute. We had some pretty poor rosters in the beginning. BP had absolutely nothing to work with. Even more evidence of a miracle job he’s done to get us where we are from where we were.

The thing about Bruce is that even those early teams that had very little talent were fun to watch. He immediately brought energy to the program where there had been none for so so long.

Correct. Pearl is a good coach who also cheats. It is a good combo for success when you can get away with it.
