Stetson on what he's going to do next
Wants to play football next year.
Interesting answer. "I'll see if I can trust the staff to make the right decision"

Yah, great interview. It didn't sound like he said he is definitely coming back. I would think he has a possibility of making an NFL practice squad but probably not get drafted. Be interesting to see what he does. Lot of pieces will decide based on his decision. He may want to go out a winner; or he may want to come back and continue to prove his doubters wrong.

I hope he comes back next year. He improved a ton from last year to this year. He absolutley would be the better than attempting to go with either freshman. With that said, that could cause one of the 5 stars to look elsewhere but I want my title winning QB back for a run it back.

Honestly, the guy has quenched our thirst for a title. If he wants to come back next year and try again, I say go for it. If we don't win it, so what. We'll have more chances. That said, it would be mighty tempting for me to want to go out with last night being the culmination of my career. But I get it.

Thanks for all you’ve done Stetson but it’s time to bow out gracefully.
We have a bit of a rebuilding year coming up mostly on defense but we need to get some of this talent we’ve been pulling in some snaps for the future.

We need consistency next season more than ever, bad year to break in a new qb.
Hope Stet stays and play.

Kirby has quite a conundrum.
On the one hand, you have a guy who just finished what many are making out to be an ultimate comeback story; silencing doubters, proving his coach right, helping to usher in the first chip in 41 years. You’ve got to bring him back, right?
On the other hand, Kirby leads a program that relies on recruiting and balancing egos. Losing so much talent this off-season, is it time to move on to the next iteration of this team, understanding next season will be a very young roster? Give Brock what he was promised? Follow the plan you shared with Gunnar? Let young guys grow so you’re ready to compete for another chip in 23?
If this were the pros, Stet would be back, no question. It’s not, though. I think Stet likely started his last game as a Dawg.

With the $$$ situation now in play, seems like staying would be the best scenario financially. Even if he were to lose the job next year. Being a Dawg this off-season will get him paid more bottom line. He could end up cashing in a bunch of $$$ especially with the rumored movie deals.

Agree totally. Hell a go fund me account would make him rich right now off the good will.

It just seems like he should go out on top. I mean he was at UGA 2017. JUCO 2018. UGA 2019-2021. Started a good # of games in 2020; led the team to a national title in 2021. He is a legend and has secured his legacy. If he comes back he has to listen to more criticism(if he cares). He could go out and get a job as a spokesman, sign autographs, make a book and movie deal and make millions. I wonder what Kirby and Monekn are pushing him to do behind closed doors? You can't tell me Kirby and Monken aren't thinking "we need to develop these other guys." On the other hand Kirby got the NC doing it his way and Stetson may be his "guy" to try to do it again. I'm sure Stetson would improve and have a ton of confidence next year but personally would rather see guys get snaps who have a higher ceiling.
