Only thing I'm disappointed about this game is the defense in the fourth.

The offense without Jameson is what it is. We lack playmakers. No use acting surprised about it. But we still had a very good chance of winning this game when we were up 18-13. I just don't understand the complete collapse in the fourth. They couldn't stop anything UGA tried after shutting them down all game.

I’ll help you.

Pete.
Golding.

It’s been 3 years, now. You should be used to it.

Golding did pretty well all night, until we took the lead.

Then Monken started kicking his arse.

Think they were a little gassed. Give UGA some credit too. They went against tendencies there at the end. It was good coaching.

Dline was gassed and we stopped getting pressure

Second time in a national championship game our defense tanked in the 4th quarter when we had a lead to protect. The first half of this dynasty had defenses that would absolutely slam the door shut in the 4th quarter.

Shouldn't have been gassed, we killed them the series before, got a to, and were off the field.

Ga 54 should be suspended. He literally dove late and hurt Mathis. Then leaped on the pile multiple times.

The drive after our TD was horrible. I can’t blame Golding there. Our inexperienced DBs just got exposed.

That's the thing. We were killing their offensive line in the 1st half. And we didnt have snap issues in the 2nd. Only explanation is they literally just played harder in the 2nd half I guess

Helam’s wiff on the long run set a negative tone for the rest on the game.

That’s where UGA play calls came in. The throwback to the tight end and even throwing deep at the end. Things IGA is not known for really. The D cannot be perfect every single down.

UGA played scared for 3 quarters being very conservative and would have lost. But in the 4th, they opened it up big time and stopped playing scared. That was the difference.

Our defense couldn't hold them forever without an adequate offense for our standards.

They were just gassed. O couldn’t sustain anything really so it was right back on the field in a high intensity environment . I was proud of the defense . UGA has some big physical lineman . It was a battle all game . IMO game was lost on the OL. Couldn’t keep Georgia’s DL out of Bryce’s face and UGAs secondary played great . They were all over our WRs

They were talking yesterday that Kirby thought the reason Ala won the SEC Championship was because we were in better shape than GA. So, Ga did conditioning drills before and after ever practice. They were determined to be in better shape this time.

As far as our corners, we have not been able to defend a long pass all year. Ga just didnt try to go deep until late 3rd qtr. Our corners get beat consistently on long passes, and either interfere or let them catch the ball. We should have played as physical as possible because those refs were not going to call penalties, esp pass interference.

Would help if the fricking offense could have extended a few series and converted on a few more 3rd downs

It's arguable that we lost the game primarily due to key dropped catches that resulted in settling for FGs instead of scoring TDs.
