5.Tenn
4.UK
3.LSU
2.BAMA
1.Auburn
Out of these 5 i see most potential with LSU . scrappy bunch who D up . My prediction is LSU could very well be an elite 8 team but thats the ceiling for SEC i beleieve

They might as well be throwing bricks at the basket from the 3 point line. Offensively challenged. Points matter.

Auburn is gonna win the league.. for 2 reasons.
1. They are the most consistent team. IMO Alabamas “A” game is better than anyones but Auburn is most consistent.
2. Their SEC schedule is easier than all other contenders. Their 2x games are Alabama, Florida, Ole Miss, South Carolina, Georgia

Has Pearl taken his sideline antics to a new frenetic level this season? Just seems like he's trying to give himself a heart attack even when things are going well. He was in his kid's faces when they were hitting and doing their job. At his age, all that crazy micromanaging can't be good on the vitals.

As to op, LSUs ceiling is significantly limited by its limited offensive options/weapons. Based on what I’ve seen so far, I see AU as a half click better than the group of Bama, UT, UK, and LSU, but it’s still very early in conference play.

Who does that sound like?

I think Auburn is clearly the best in the SEC so far. I would put Bama second because of quality wins, LSU third, Tennessee/Kentucky and then the rest.

1. Auburn
2-5. Pretty even
Auburn has more depth and unique talents in their frontcourt that separate them and make both their floor and ceiling much higher. They still have stretches on offense where they play wild and out of control, but that's kind of how Pearl's entire frantic scheme operates.
Alabama and Tennessee are both very talented and very schizophrenic. Tennessee is probably a little bit deeper than Alabama.
Kentucky is just kind of unproven at this point. They've played 2 good teams so far (Duke and LSU) and lost both in close, physical games. They're clearly very talented and deep, but we just haven't seen them against enough against good teams yet I don't think to know how good.
LSU is the best defensive team in the country and the worst offensive team in the Top 25.
State is also very talented but just hasn't put it together against the better teams they've played late. If they do, they'll be a pain in the arse. Arkansas is a mess right now but Muss will patch that together and have them formidable soon.
Florida and Texas A&M are playing decent ball and can beat you on any given night as well.

Seriously, what a tone deaf thing for a Bammer to say. SMH.

Hard to accurately judge AU so far since our best player (at least pre-season) has played like a game and a half. If we can integrate into the team and Wendell Green continues to develop at PG this team really doesn't have many weaknesses. Hopefully we can make another run. A Final 4 in NO would be sweet.
