Tennessee fans are growing a complex toward UK

Everywhere you looked yesterday, fellow SEC fans were pulling for the Cats, congratulating them etc. The big exception is UT. They have been spitting some serious vitriol? Is it because we’ve passed them in the Standings? Is it because we’ve got commitments from 2 of the top 4 players in their state and they don’t have a commitment from a top 10 guy in their own state? Is it because we win the Citrus Bowl against the Big Ten West champs and they couldn’t beat a mid pack Big Ten team in a glorified home game in Nashville? I don’t know. I hope they can find a way to get through the offseason and find some peace within themselves. Life’s too short to stay angry, be jealous and have feelings of inadequacy.

Tennessee fans have a complex toward everyone. I have never seen their fans (here) have a nice thing to say about anyone else.

Yall did recruit well in Tennessee, hell yqll recruited very well everywhere by typical Kentucky standards. I think some of those guys will be good. That being said, our previous staff pretty much ignored the state and we have had ncaa investigations looming so heupel had his hands full on year one. If that happens again I will be concerned. But at the end of the day we still came and beat the best kentucky team in decades at their place with a first year coach and 70 scholarship players. Well be aight.

Tennessee has, hands down, the worst fan base in CFB. Since most of them never played the game, they know very little about it. They boo everything, blame every loss on the refs, and only support their HC on the game weeks when he’s won the previous Sat. Then there’s Rocky Top.
