At this point - the Cats can talk more shite about Florida than Tennessee. Or Mississippi State, for that matter.
To talk about being "better", I'm pretty sure beating somebody head to head is a requirement. Kentucky has not done that, consistently, with either Tennessee or MSU. Losing close does not count.

I’ve seen the Wades for 4 years here in Williamson County. Good players, no doubt. But both built reputations and big stats on Williamson County schools who’s average linebacker is 5-9, 175 lbs and a 40 time better timed with a calendar than a stopwatch. The only time they faced anywhere near college level players they got beaten handily by Oakland in the state title game.
It’s possible they pan out and have decent careers at UK. But I’m extremely skeptical. And assuming I’m above ground when it happens, I’d eat my fair helping of crow.

In Kentucky’s best era in a long time, they are only 3-10 against the Vols since Fulmer was fired and ushered in the worst era of UT football since the mid 70’s.
Of course that’s better than 0-26.

UK is a growing threat in the East. Anytime that happens, you will see vitriol from those who could be impacted the most.

If only we both played them this year and had some sort of way to determine how our respective programs were when facing them. We could probably really get a good idea of where each program stands.
Also it appears your new coach has already had some practice getting his dick kicked in by bama so he should fit right in despite his poor southern drawl.
