Stetson Bennett is about to do the unthinkable and lead the Bulldogs to a national title over Bama as a walk-on and people begging the coaches to bench him after he had a rough game. Two of the teams I root for have won titles (Braves and Fitzgerald) this year after huge droughts and now the UGA Bulldogs are about to do the same with Stetson Mothafking Bennett.

Yeah - imagine what he could have done if he weren't a walk-on who should never see the field at UGA. We might have even won in a blowout.
The coaches like him. The team was loving on him on the sidelines and clearly regard him as their guy, but what do they know?

And I am okay with this. I don't necessarily want him to win the game for us. I want him to play well and the whole team step up and win.
IMO<, part of his problem is he tries too hard to be Baker Mayfield and make something out of nothing. He is at his best when he takes what the defense gives him and when there is nothing....throw the ball away.
If he does that we can win. If he doesn't do that we can still win....or we can lose.

Lucius and i disagree strongly with his opinion of Bennett....but he said nothing wrong in this post. Sometimes he will not give Bennett enough credit for making good reads and making great throws. And sometimes he gives him too much blame when things go wrong. But, while a little too harsh....he is right in this last post. When we all look back on this team in 10 years we will remember the defense and the year Bowers had.
But yeah, Bennett had a great year and I hope he can pull one more big game out.
