They weren't cheap, but does anyone remember the service fees being this expensive last year?

We went to the Rose Bowl and I don't remember them being this bad.

They have definitely gone up. Ticketmaster used to have cheaper fees than everyone else but now they are the same

I just priced out tickets to the Alamo Bowl and the fees are literally 25% of the overall ticket price.

It's fricking ludicrous.

There are Alamo tkts available on VetTix if you want a warmup game.

I was going to be there for a work thing already and was going to purchase a single one but I was told the group we are with has them for whomever wants them. No clue what section we will be in or anything. I do know there are some Texas and a&m grads in our group.

So is VetTix used instead of just giving them away to the tickets and tours office on base?

I was stationed at Brooks before BRAC took care of it and we used to get tickets to all kinds of stuff in SA. I got a couple of tickets to watch Nebraska and Michigan play in the Alamo Bowl back in 04 or 05. Went to a few AA Bowls as well. Good times back then.

Thinking about going to the High School All-American Game at the Alamo Dome next month.

I just got a pair laid on me though work....upper deck seats so probably be hanging in the end zone bar area in second half.....but at least they are free and I am in the stadium.

Wonder how well attended this will be?

Service fees for most every ticket purchase should be outlawed.
Even when I bought a ticket at the Tuscaloosa Amphitheater box office 30 minutes before the show started, it included service fees.

It's gotta be better than the Rose Bowl last year.

There were 6 total people in my section.

We bought a parking pass listed at 65 bucks but the fees bumped it up to 95

And they call it a “convenience fee”

I bet it’ll be close to full. I could realistically see 35k Cincy fans showing up

That whole weekend is pretty cool. Went one year when Slade played in the FBU NC in 7th grade. It’s just a fun atmosphere and very open/inviting tone.

As far as Arlington, I’ll be there. My first experience at Jerry’s World. I’ve been to the Walmart that’s in the parking lot. No idea where we’re sitting. We don’t find out until they give us tickets when we walk in the game. Hopefully I won’t be behind the cross bar like at LSU last year. Couldn’t see a thing. Just watched the game on the replay screen.

Do you get a free parking garage pass? That shite is almost as expensive as the tickets.

Typically no. At least I don't. Typically my family Ubers to the game if it's outside of Tuscaloosa.

I think we are all just taking a shuttle from the hotel as a group. These UT and a&m peeps with us are annoying as frick. They all work at Oliver Equipment too.

Park at the J Gilligan’s Irish pub and take their shuttle. It’s like $10 ($5 for kids) round trip. Well done service. Used it for all the games in Arlington.

VetTix is a non-profit and MWRs are NAFIs. Both are tax deductible for donations. I'm sure they are using both.

VetTix gets a lot more individual and corporate donations for events. It is likely just an easier path for some.
