What Texas A&M posters don't understand.

This just feeds into the perception of what people think about the Aggies. This bowl game means little in the grand scheme of things, but A&M playing the game short handed would of showed resolve and toughness many question about your program.
Not playing Ole Miss and then bitching about not getting in the playoffs last year.
University officials to the fanbase moaning about the SEC adding Texas.
Now this.....it's definitely a miss opportunity to show the world the Aggies are a different program.

Apparently we couldn't even field a defense. Not sure how you can play without one. Whole position groups on the offense and defense were wiped out and sitting in quarantine
What I don't understand is that many of those players would hopefully be out of quarantine before the bowl game. I hate contact tracing - thought it was a thing of the past

This is why I found it odd for them to cancel now. Yes they may have missed practice time, but the majority of the players would be out of quarantine before the game.

It only take two consecutive negative test to be cleared to play. If this was a coming weekend game I would side with the Aggies but it's just looks terrible 9 days out.

You hit the nail on the head. Jimbo doesn’t want a bad loss to change the narrative of signing the number one class. If A&M had played Wake and got curb stomped then all the momentum off that class would have stopped and some A&M fans would have him on the hot seat.

Mississippi played Georgia with 42 players and Ole Miss a couple more last year. Both were losses with walk ons playing but were hard fought games.
The game is in 9 days, almost everyone would be back. They have been playing all year, it's not like they don't know the offense and defense.
Typical weakness from the A&M.
It's why they have the record they have vs the Mississippi schools with their better recruits. They are a weak minded cult that does not believe in themselves.

Honestly it would be a pretty sick story if A&M played down a whole lot of scholarship players and some kids had to play both ways. They'd get spanked, but it'd be a good memory to tell your grandkids.

In 2018, LSU played its bowl game with a wide receiver starting at CB.

It's pretty ironic that this is going down when you think about how much bragging the Aggies have done about the Twelfth Man and the Junction Boys throughout the years.

It may be a dumb idea, but I think if teams want to play, they'd find a way to play. The game is exhibition, so who cares?
Don't have enough players? Play 7 on 7. It would be fun. Bring up some walk ons. Dress out some of those dude cheerleaders. Let some folks play 2 ways like they did in high school. Shorten the quarters.
Or, wait a week. I find it hard to believe they'll have no players in a week.
