Probably the "reason for the season" slogan. Not that it's wrong; it's just overused.

Whatever holiday you celebrate around this time, I wish you mfers a safe and happy one. Personally, I'm your average Southern churchgoer, but some of the Winter Solstice traditions the church repressed are quite interesting.
Wassailing, for example, seems like an awfully good time -- a crowd goes up to a rich guy's house, and sings "give us alcohol and desserts or we will drag you out in the street"
We should get back to that.

There was a similar tradition when I was in pilot training. You'd go to an instructor pilot's house or someone in your class's house and climb on the roof. You'd stomp on the roof until they hosted you for adult beverages. You'd climb down and drink them dry.
Roof stompin'

I like it. The best I got was having my shirttail cut off
Although these days, we host a big Christmas party here at the house, and a large percentage of the attendees are fellow pilots. They will drink you dry with or without the roof trip

Me. I bought myself a Xbox Series X and my wife bought me tickets to the Auburn game.
There wouldn’t be better presents ANYWHERE

My bride (no pics) and I just get each other little stocking stuffers, and splurge on the kids. Our big present to each other is a trip somewhere each year.

No money left. We have enough. Blessed.

What are you getting? We’re about to trade the ski boat for a deck boat (more room)

Nice. I ordered a 25 foot Tidewater Bay Max. 300 Yamaha.
Should be ready soon. I am in Georgia for a couple of days and was hoping to pick it up but it’s not ready yet.
This is my exact boat except I ordered power poles and trim tabs on mine.

I thought you ordered that years ago?

Merry Christmas my brothers!

Nice! Man, I want a center console. But with the little ones, it doesn’t make much sense right now.

Ordered it back in late September. Tidewater is made in South Carolina but I bought it through a dealer in north Georgia. I have a good relationship with them.
Originally it was going to be completed in December but like most industries, they are having inventory issues. I think the engine is the issue right now.
Patiently waiting.

How much does an outboard motor cost these days?

Obviously it depends on the size but a Yamaha F300 is about 35k.
