re: Eve of signing day LSU has the 13th ranked class

Bump for LSU up to 19th nationally with a top ten average recruit rating. It will be a small group on signing day, but a couple of key spots filled with the 5-star QB and 5-star left tackle.

It’s gonna be a real bad look when LSU’s class is ranked significantly better than yours.

Currently, with 9 less recruits than Arky, LSU is only 7 pts behind Arky in the 247 rankings.

Should I pop my popcorn now, or wait a bit?

Well, nearly halfway through signing day itself and we are up to 21st. With the potential to get even better.

OP was referring to SEC ranking, not national.

As of 9:30 this morning, LSU was #13 in the SEC, ahead of only Vandy.

They've greatly improved to SEC #8 and #21 nationally.

Meanwhile, Bryan "Can't Recruit in the South" Harsin's first full class is currently #12 nationally, and #5 in the SEC.

Lot of moving parts still, but reports of the program's death were somewhat exaggerated.

I personally think that he's a damn good coach.

lol. He’s been on the job less than 3 weeks. He hasn’t even hired his coordinators yet.

LSU didn’t recruit at all from mid October until the first week of December.

LSU, without a coach for almost 2 months locked in the top 2 players in the state (a 5 star QB & 5 star OT) and the #1 Dlineman in the state in the early period.

By the end of the 2nd signing period, LSU will end up with a National Top Ten class in a year where they fired their coach in mid-season. Pretty damn strong.
