Stupidly paid top dollar for Gus and got stuck with a huge buyout.... Couldn’t afford the $$$$ and wasn’t willing to give total control of the program over a proven top tier coach.... We get Harsin and continue to get eaten alive in the recruiting trail, beaten soundly on the field and now are losing what few play makers we had on the roster... HC and PTB need to start investing in recruiting or we will be the SEC floor mat as soon as next season.

Hopefully we don't stay content with 6-6 & 7-5 seasons, cause that's the caliber of coaches and players we get getting and keeping.

I sometimes wish bama never got put on Probation. Those years of being the best AL team have turned some of our fans into insufferable twats. Switch teams already.

I don’t accept mediocrity and will chew the bones of this athletic department until they cover my grave.... As an alumnus with two Auburn degrees I’ve got ever right. As for beating alabama, that should be the norm. Compete or get off the field.

People say dress for the job you want not the one you got. You hire and recruit like the program you want to be, we have been like a 7-5 unranked program for years...here we are.
Oh and our NIL is solidly below average of the program we want to pretend we are

Correct. Gus and his staff weren’t the best recruiters. Sure, they had decently ranked classes, but they padded their stars with 4 star players that other teams passed on, and not a lot of their big stars panned out. They did not recruit to need- see offensive line, or scheme- see the line of pocket passing QBs recruited for Gus’ zone read attack.
Harsin has been successful everywhere he’s been. Give him time. Or not. We all knew that this wasn’t going to be fixed overnight. The entire program is going through a mindset overhaul. From soft and “I’m special”, to hard nosed and tough.

That’s the mentality of many AU so called supporters, willing to accept the scraps and settle for second tier status. It’s cancerous and attracts weak minded individuals unable to compete against those that are driven. From the top down we have incapable leadership managing lower tier retread staff and D2 level athletes. All happily milking the system because it’s allowed. The program does not have a winning attitude nor an instinct to dominate the opposition.

Calm down, yes our program is down but that is due to keeping Gus too long. Gus would always lose 4 games. Even in 2017 he ended up losing 4 games. Give Harsin more than a year, you are the same type of fan calling for Saban to be fired for losing a game.

I think some may say you’re a little too “melty”. Much of the posters around here tend to be a little too “pie in the sky”. But, my fear is that you are right. If things look similar this time next year (recruiting pipeline, NIL, coaching carousel, etc.) then we are indeed in trouble.

500k. Now do our starting QB...15k? I find that troubling and problematic. Actually think the NIL thing is a mess but it is what it is
