Honestly, at times Bo Nix seemed bigger than the program. He’s very talented, but perhaps poisonous to the culture. Auburn may be better off.

There seems to be a lot of players who are putting themselves before their teams these days.
NIL and unfettered transfer allowances have made it worse IMO.

Nix got bench, and although he played better afterwards, he probably never forgave Harsin.

He's a choker. Inconsistent, and usually bad on the road. Harsin saw this and wouldn't commit to him as the starter because he knows he can do better. I'm sure there has been worse 5 star qb's in college, but I can't think of one. Aubies should be glad he is leaving because they were never going to win anything with him leading them. That Finley kid is tough as nails and has no quit in him. I think he would've been starting next year anyway.

In this milieu of college football, guys check out.
It is what it is.
Bo had left before all of this.
Harsin will either succeed or be fired.
Guaranteeing a starting spot is not the way forward.
We may go 0-12, but if you are the coach, players can’t be coddled.

Harsin's recruiting thus far is garbage and we don't have a solid QB on the roster.
Without Bo Nix, Auburn is very likely a 3-4 win team this year. Next year we lose what vaporous offensive line talent we have, Tank Bigsby is apparently transferring out, we don't have an offensive coordinator and rumors have our defensive coordinator possibly leaving as well.
You bammers should be happy. Auburn has, once again, transformed itself into a dumpster fire.

Auburn board will be prime reading material

I agree with you - coaching is getting hard

I hate to see Bo go, it's a problem short but you may be right about it being good long term.
Losing Tank is a much bigger loss. Especially since we're losing Shivers too. And I won't feel safe about Jarquez Hunter staying either unless he outright says he is.

Great. Auburn’s going 11-1 next year.

Except for that time he quit that other team.

If I am not mistaken, they quit him

I remember bama quitting Jalen Hurts when he was at bama.

It's funny seeing people melt down over a QB leaving that had Jeremy Johnson type stats. The transfer portal has plenty of QBs that will do better.

I'm going to have a good chuckle when his replacement is Spencer Rattler.

Yes, because (like most professionals in just about any industry) they’re all mercenaries and opportunists pursuing playing time and NFL riches during the very short window in which they possess multimillion dollar athletic ability. They are making career moves before they even graduate high school, and they should. There’s urgency in their career. They can’t afford to make make major mistakes at 20 and right the ship at 30-40 like most people can. They’re washed up when most people are in their professional peak.
People are only as loyal as their options. If you were a salesman at a Ford dealership and the Chevy dealership across the street offered you a 50% raise with better benefits, what would you do?

b.s. This isn't Harsin's decision.

Always found it hilarious players should always put the fans and University before themselves yet the fans and University never reciprocate.
