They're 82nd in Sagarin and 87th per ESPN

Bama is 7 and 4 respectively, with the other two playoff teams (Georgia/Michigan) sitting at 35/31 (Sagarin) and 21/20 (ESPN)

Makes sense considering all 7 teams in the SEC west are bowl bound and 4 finished in the top 25. Go figure.

I'd make the argument that outside of Bryce Young... Desmond Ridder is the best QB in the playoffs.

They have a top DE, CB, and QB. 'Bama better be prepared.

Bama's close game experience and resilience is a clear edge, but they need to show consistency and can't afford to sleep on Cincy. Hopefully, the team isn’t trading yummy rat poison for the name brand potent stuff

I'd prefer to see them take care of business early and often and sit Bryce sometime in the 3rd quarter.

Typically I wouldn’t be worried about a team like Cincinnati, but let’s not forget we barely beat 6-6 LSU, 6-6 Florida and needed a borderline miracle o beat 6-6 Auburn.

I think Cincinnati would beat all three of those teams, so if we don’t show up, they can clip us too.

I know fans don't really play THAT big of a role in the actual psyche of a team, however I think it can mirror the players' same thoughts.
If everyone collectively blows off Cincinnati, the team's in trouble.
The Tortoise and the Hare fable comes to mind.
This team, while not playing exemplary competition every week has won every game for the past 2 years, except a close contest against Georgia last year.
I'm certain that Georgia's mind wasn't all in, but if Alabama overlooks the Bearcats, there could be some real problems.
