Makes me wonder why neighborhoods surrounding colleges often turn into high crime areas. Seems like it would be desirable real estate and would do just the opposite.

Mercer is trying to buy everything from their driveway to 16. You name your price and the checks in the mail. It’s basically their version of the northern wall.

Damn. BR is 20k people larger than Little Rock and LR has 1/3 the homicides in a near record year. I’ll remember my body armor next time I’m down that way.

Baton Rouge has a slightly larger population than Birmingham.

Inside the city limits, yes. Metro population of Birmingham is about 1.1M and Baton Rouge metro is about 870K.

This is an edit of my earlier post. I originally used a number from a website with an error. Metro Baton Rouge is more populous than I thought. That explains all the traffic, because geographically the metro area seems much smaller than other cities with that metro population.

It's soaring everywhere thanks to all the BLM and AntiFa scum getting cops neutered. All because a POS like George Floyd got what he deserved.

Wrong.

City:
BTR 227K
BMH 212K

Metro:
BTR 750K
BMH 1.1M

However, since you live in BTR, you know the lion's share of murders in the city happen in certain areas only, and since I'm not looking for a ban, I'll let others extrapolate from that what they will.

But to your point, SWB is a terrible count of Mayor-President who isn't qualified to run a lemonade stand, let alone a city, but here we are...

Atlanta has become a 3rd world country by itself. What's your point?

My GPS took me down a couple side streets by the stadium when I was down there recently, and I felt like I was in a third world country.
