Not going to link they are all clickbait rags, but there are people out there that think Bama should grab Sanders before someone else does.
There is such a shortage of good candidates that a guy who instantly brings in a recruiting advantage and excitement among the nations best players would have a pretty high floor IMO.
I mean college football has become such a circus why not consider hiring the ringmaster ?

Sanders and Dabo are two guys I do not want replacing Saban when he retires, which is hopefully after this season.
Dabo has let the game pass him by.
Deion is a self promoter and the epitome of what is bad about college football now.

There isn’t anyone out there right now that we could hire that could guarantee you a better job than Nick Saban with the possible exception of Kirby Smart, and he’s not leaving UGA, and we wouldn’t want him to anyway.
Nick Saban does not need to retire until he is ready to retire, he has definitely earned that right.
When he does, lord help us, we will be back to wandering in the wilderness like it’s the 80s all over again, firing coaches every 3 years just to hire another clown. I dread him being gone more than Milroe starting the rest of the year.

I've said it before, Deion is the new paradigm. Kids don't have to get to the NFL to get paid anymore so it's all about the flash and flair. Old school coaching will eventually fall to the side as the kids don't respond to it. Everyone losing their minds over Niblack playing on IG live are simply witnessing the shift in realtime.

There are dozens of coaches that could be 1-1 at Alabama with a 10 point loss at home to Texas.
There are zero coaches who could win 6 national titles in a short span like Saban.
Saban is not the guy anymore. He was the greatest coach of all time, but he is now a mediocre coach.
Michael Jordan was the greatest basketball player of all time, but I wouldn't want him to suit up for the Bulls today.

Exactly, he's built for this new era.
I believe it was CNS that said when times change you have three choices:
1. Stand in the way and get run over
2. Get in and go for the ride
3. Get out of the way and watch everyone leave you behind
Sanders is definitely all aboard this new era- hell he's directing traffic.

Some of you guys genuinely don't know what a mediocre coach is. But when Saban finally does retire I promise you'll find out. Because no big name, championship caliber coach is going to be willing to be the first guy to replace Saban. There's maybe 3 coaches in the country who could come in and seamlessly transition while maintaining the level of success Bama fans have become accustomed to. And they're all at blue-blood title contending schools already so they ain't coming.

This year is truly a rebuilding year for Bama. We're looking at best 10-2 or 9-3.
Finding a QB that can play at a high level and improving so Bama can again challenge in 2024 is the larger picture.
It is going to be interesting to see how Nick and his staff handle adversity.

Alabama is in good position there and is at the top of the super-conference discussion. I truly hate what it's become but would have to be stupid to deny it.

I think Colorado is one of the few places with a winning history - albeit becoming somewhat distant - that Deion could go and be Deion.
CU's admin basically eviscerated their AD and started it over after the sexual assault issues and other recruiting violations over the 90s and early 00s. They essentially salted the earth over their existing base of financial support in the process. There are not many big movers and shakers external to the actual chain of command (donors) like at a place like Alabama or Auburn.
This affords Deion a lot of latitude at a place with a decent historical football reputation. I don't think he'd have that nearly anywhere in the SEC.
Saban doesn't have time for these types of people but understands how to take their money or direct it towards his interests for advancing the program. I think Deion likely lacks that discretion but will still have a similar Saban-like disdain for these people.

I think Deion is going to coach his kids and hang it up shortly thereafter. He’s due for a partial leg amputation after this season. He not going to be the choice.

I like what Lanning has done in short time at Oregon. He wouldn't be a bad choice to replace Saban when he heads to the lake.

Oregon is a hot bed for recruits.
I will make my decision on Coach Lanning in another week when he goes against Colorado and Coach Prime.

I don't hate him. I don't like how he ran off a bunch of Colorado players. I know that's how the game is now, but I don't like it. I wouldn't like my son to go somewhere and be part of a poor team and then get run off that way. He's doing what's allowed and has leaned into this new world of transfer portals and NIL deals.

He didn't run off anybody! They didn't want to compete for a spot and the team only won 1 game LAST SEASON. You believing the narrative they put out there instead of what really happened.
Nick Saban has ran plenty people off here especially after his first season here at Alabama.

Sanders called a legacy player that was only a freshman and told him he was cut. That's running someone off. This isn't in dispute.

This is doomcasting. What big name coach wants to come to a place with what should be stocked with a solid roster, the best or near best facilities in the country, a mechanism to take advantage of NIL, top salary and an administration that is fully bought in and supportive?
There are maybe 5-7 jobs out there that can compare and maybe 4 or 5 coaches that are off the table because of their current situation. But this isn't the 3 Mike's era, right now this is one of the best jobs in the country and there will be a ton of interest.
