When CU/Ore beats Bana/OM in ratings…

…today at 3:30, can we finally admit that the SEC wave has crested? NIL is going to make flashy coaching and tv eyeballs drive talent to programs, not “culture” or “process.”
It was a great ride, but the era of the SEC being the 900 pound media gorilla is at an end. All thanks to NIL and the God-awful crap burger of a TV deal the SEC struck with ESPN.

It won't happen. All these ratings are made up. SEC will always be on top purdue fan.

Is this Purdue’s only shot at winning anything?

SEC wave hasn’t crested because we’ll still be the ones winning championships. Like everything else in football throughout its history, the South figures out how to be the best on a level no other region has been able to match.
But…I do agree that the nature of college football is going to radically change. When the top talent starts having the choice between flashy coaches (probably coaches of color) that have a deep NIL fund with a public spotlight vs traditional coaches using old school methods of building programs, they’ll pick the first option every time. The SEC will effectively restructure its program building to adjust to the new world of football.
We’ll see if Deion can actually capitalize on his recent explosion into college football. Is he even going to stay long enough to build a sustainable program?

You realize that Colorado-Oregon is on ABC, the same time slot the SEC will get next season, right? And then you blame the TV deal?

No, I blame the shitty production quality of ESPN/ABC compared to CBS and Fox.
Also, lol at my Purdue logo. Changed it for the bowl game last year and haven’t changed it back. Having a B1G10 logo seems to trigger the mouth breathers on here.

When prime gets his shite pushed in on national TV....this will go away.

Not really. Colorado is a novelty right now and people are interested.
Let them lose a couple in a row to Oregon and USC and no one will watch anymore. Not even their fans

Get back to us when "PER-DEW' wins a CFB Natty... and hopefully some people in here will still be alive.

Really? I mean really? Nobody gives a shite about Oregon or Colorado.
It’s all about Prime.
When he leaves Colorado, they will once again be irrelevant. Oregon hasn’t ever done anything but flashy uniforms and an inability to be anything greater than a top 15 team as it’s ceiling.
