Surprised they didn’t overreact with Texas

Lol at Ole Miss moving up. Anyone who watched that game could tell you the Rebels would have been fricked if Michael Pratt played. OM's offense looked like crap against the Tulane D and needed their backup QB to implode to finally take over the game.

Tennessee's not better than Bama.

Not that it really matters this early, but a 10-point win at Bama is better than any win Michigan, Ohio State or USC has.

I've never understood the coaches poll because I can't imagine that any of the voters watch any of the games. They're too busy with their own.

"didn't watch the game"
Thank goodness for that.
And seeing only the two best SEC teams in the top ten, makes it clear that all is right with the world.

I'd say it was significant. It was the first double digit home loss for Saban since 2003.
BdS is not a super intimidating place by itself, design and old gray hairs who sit on their hands. However, given the talent factor, Saban factor, and the 100+ k fans being moderately involved in the game, it has proven to be the exception to the rule that CNS loses by 2+ scores anywhere, let alone at home
Utx may not even win the Big 12, but they easily played like a top 3 team last night.
It was objectively a good game. Kudos again to Sark. He's a tough out for Saban.

Not many coaches actually voting in these. It's a bunch of staffers. That's why it's no better than the AP. Probably worse actually.

Utah starting the season at #14, beating two P5 teams (one on the road) without their All-American QB, and only moving up to #12 and being behind a team that has a double digit loss at home is everything that is wrong with polls.
