WARMACHINE HIGHLIGHTS
Too bad KPXJ doesn't still air classic LSU/SEC games on Friday late nights, because this one was a rotational banger.
I still have no fricking clue how D McFadden did not win the Heisman and Houston Nutt led that backfield to a fricking 7-5 season. Now that take talent...

Senior year of high school. Quietest walk out of a stadium in my lifetime. I thought they came to Baton Rouge and took away our title.

1. Cause Tebow was the media darling
2. Cause rah rah coaching gets old with little substance

Why does this game get more talk than Kentucky beating LSU that year? It was a 3OT game and infinitely better than thr Arkansas game. We also beat them first, Arkansas second.

Houston Nutt always did less with more while at Arkansas.
He had some of the best talent to play at Arkansas in our history, but he sucked arse as a gameday coach.

Because nobody has ever taken Kentucky football seriously.
It is what it is.
Plus, it was Black Friday and a trophy game.
Hopefully it returns to Black Friday soon.

That's big talk from someone who's school has a losing record to us.

What a game. So many LSU/Arkansas games were classics, with SECW implications.
So many last-second plays for wins.
shite like this is why the Mizzzzzzzzou game is such a boner-killer. frick Sankey.

Me and my chums went to every 2007 game Home and Road.
Yes, both were 3 OT classics, and yes Ky rallied and played valiantly to win. But, Les went Les and let off the gas, got conservative and dicked away the game in Lexington.
The Ark game, was with the pressure of an L already in the column, and knowing that natty title wasn’t far away. The Tigers were tired and had been getting everyone’s best shot. But, were still dialed in, yet the Hogs just kept bringing that wood..
More so than the Kentucky loss with it’s slight air of self sabotage in Les going full Schembechler, it felt like Ark just flat outlasted an focused yet exhausted LSU.

2012 Bama went from one of the loudest moments ever with Landry’s TD to the quietest with Yeldon’s.

Was pretty wild how in 2006 and 2007 Arkansas and LSU were respectively already locked into West titles but the other team won each year in the final game. I remember watching Arkansas in the SEC CG in 2006 and they picked off that little forward option play Florida liked to run and ran it for a TD to take a late lead and I thought the Hogs were going to upset Florida. Had that actually happened then the Florida beatdown of OSU never happens and I don't know if the SEC gains the respect it got from that point. LSU and Florida beating ND and OSU by identical 41-14 scores in the BCS games started it all. If Arkansas beats Florida then it would have been an OSU-Michigan rematch and who knows what happens from there.
McFadden is one of the greatest college RBs I've ever seen. I'm honestly shocked his pro career never took off the way I thought it was going to, I thought he was going to have an Adrian Peterson type of career. He did have some good games sprinkled around but I expected more, and injuries didn't help. Still, I will always have respect for what I witnessed those 2 years. High schools and other colleges started doing the wildcat a lot more in response to what they were doing in Fayetteville at the time. I don't know if I can adequately say just how cool McFadden was at that time to anyone that wasn't there to see it.

This end of year game is what we lost and had replaced with Mizzzzzou.
It fricking sucks and we hate it.
It's like if the SEC decided Tennessee needed to play a year end game vs Illinois or some other midwestern school. It's just fricking terrible and will never be ok.

I don’t know, did they hand out the Heisman after bowl season? If so that’s probably why.

He went 18-16 with Darren McFadden, Felix Jones, Peyton Hillis and Michael Smith.
Nutt did less with more.
