Because they sucked and were being passed around.
Instead, in reality, this is the best the SEC has been in a while. I don't even remember the last time the SEC sent 4 teams to the Sweet 16. Kentucky has a great shot to be the 4th team.

This is a typical Aub coping mechanism to discredit a season in which AU failed based on pre-season expectations and Bama was dominant. It hurts them because because Saban took over CFb and men's bb was supposed to be "theirs" but now Bama has ruined that for them as well.

As an Auburn basketball who was around during the Lebo and Barbee days, the fact that we’re out here getting trolled for losing in the 2nd round to a 1 seed as a 9 seed, and for having a winning record in the SEC…. It’s honestly just an honor to be in this place as a program where Auburn basketball is still such a threat to the Bama fan psyche despite them probably about to go to their first ever Final Four and being the odds on favorite to win the Natty
