The NFL has become a far superior product over college

Everyone is blaming TCU as if them being in the game is the problem. The problem is that there are 2-3 teams wildly more talented than the rest of the country every season.

The NFL doesn’t have boring playoffs because it has parity due to a draft, salary cap, controlled free agency, etc.

College lets 3 teams get virtually all the first round picks, and lets those same teams cherry pick lesser teams if for some embarrassing reason their team full of first rounders has any weakness. It’s a joke.

Yep. I’ve become more of a NFL fan in recent years… actually enjoy Sundays more for football, and keeping up with fantasy teams, etc. Guess that’s how I know I’m officially old (35 in a month).

So go watch it.

Personally, I think the NFL is shite, which is why I don't watch it and don't post on the NFL Rant.

I think the portal is going to allow teams to catch lightning in a bottle far more often and put it on the traditional elite teams.

This is exactly why playoffs are an awful idea for college football. They're going to produce predictable results every year. Expanding them won't change that. College football needs a system where the TCUs of the world could conceivably win an NC without having to play UGA, Bama, or Ohio State, not a system where they now will have to beat all three in a 12-team playoff.

Doubtful. Top teams will just find the best proven commodity to fill their needs. And those that don’t want to work for their position will move on.

Nobody ‘lets’ anybody do anything. The hardest working coaches and the most successful teams get the best players. Recruiting is Job 1 for college coaches. Some are just lazy.

Did you watch the NFL this year? Most boring and sterile shite ever. Horrific prime time games. This game was a dud but college football overall is way more fun.

Talent will start to spread out with NIL and portal. I think this Georgia team will be one of the last great truly superior teams.

12 team playoff is going to help parity as well.

You are already starting to see Alabama drop off just a smidge.

FOR REAL. Did you guys see the NFL playoff games last year? I'm super pumped for this weekend! NFL has a draft, salary cap, ect. for balance. There are rules in place, so you can't just stack off the incoming young draft talent like in college. Imagine if the Chiefs won the SB this year and then got to pick the first 25 players in the 1st round. No shite they would dominate. College football used to be good. Has sucked arse since Saban has been at Bama

Week in and week out I enjoy college football so much more. Always passionate games to be found. I'll watch a random top 25 match up all day.

Regular season NFL isn't all that interesting but I do love the playoffs!
