Argentina locker room celebration

It was pretty interesting. Everybody didn't have a phone attached to their hands. Nobody was live-streaming and making faces and hand gestures for the camera. One dude did a front flip into a trash can.
They were singing corny fascist-sounding songs and the group dances were definitely really Euro-looking and borderline gay, but at least they were celebrating as a team.
Any time a football team wins a championship these days, meanwhile, it's just a bunch of dudes taking selfies or live-streaming.
Both celebration strategies are equally corny, but at least in the first one the players were living in the moment and it was spontaneous and they were celebrating as a team.

I guess what I'm trying to say is smart phones have caused young people in America to forget how to live in the moment and in the process they have become really predictable and unoriginal. Everything is for the camera basically. That shite's corny, in my opinion.

The reason for this is because the game is way more important to them. It's basically a religion.

First off, I don’t know shite about soccer. Never played it and never watched it, but…
Regardless of political beliefs, all those players on that Argentina soccer team were men. They grew up in a different set of circumstances that the entitled brats that are currently playing college football.
College football has become a collection of entitled teenagers tik toking for clout while trying to land the best payout. The best sport on earth is rapidly turning into the worst sport on earth. Complete trash leadership has brought out the absolute worst in all parties involved. I’m sickened by it.

Everything is for the camera these days. It's like a weird and unhealthy compulsion.

I'm sure soccer has their fair share on selfies taken.
One thing to keep in mind though, pro soccer players throughout the world have very little rights compared to American players. Once they sign a contract with a club they are basically a slave to that club, they do what their told. There is a good chance that they weren't even allowed to have phones in the locker room.
In America players have a ton of power contrary to what you may think. Right now in college football the whole idea of a player jumping from one team to the next in search of money.. not under any contract or penalty of changing is just an insane concept.
BTW, if you want to see a real celebration google the Wisconsin vollyball team. :)

Agree with you. Pure joy, no staged crap for instagram or whatever...
Throwback to playing sports for sports. Most of these bitches in these threads looking at the world through their iphone camera don't understand.
I get it.

Argentina is mostly populated by the descendants of European immigrants, lots of Italians, Spanish and Eastern European blood there.
They aren't the same as Brazil. Their heritage is definitely mostly European. Maybe moreso than the US at this point.
