On eastern time here so I set to record game.

Could not sleep so I got up and watched about 5 minutes of the first half and made it until the buzzer at the end of the game.

Miles Kelley has contributed in a positive way.

Maybe Pegues will come around.

I guess the SMU transfer did not play last night, but I thought I saw him log some minutes against Iowa State. Is he sort of still in the dog house or did Bruce just want Chaney’s offense with Broome at the 5?

Jakhi must still be in the doghouse. When does he get some more minutes?

Howard and Hudson just aren’t good enough to justify messing with the rotation much right now. They’ll get worked in later on though I’m sure

Think he'll get worked back in after Duke game.

This was huge. Loved his Broome assisted 3. I think Broome had 2 of those last night.

I mean, to be fair on that one he went almost straight up. It's not his fault Davis is small and basically went right between his legs

Anyone have a gif? Would be a great meme.

Also the flop??

They (memphis) are good- surprisingly. No one really knew what to expect.

They are physical- don’t need to play their game- need to play ours and stay away from the temptation of dumb fouls. We will need our bigs.

Im really surprised that auburn is listed as a massive -9.5 fav over memphis. I did not see that

Just caught a few minutes. . . do they always play small?

What little they looked adept, quick, and created a lot of space for the three. But just saw 10-12 minutes.

Honestly- it’s a new roster and I haven’t watched more than a few bits of their games. By physical I don't mean big per se…so yes, smaller, maybe aggressive is a better word. I think the key is to not play their game, play ours. We don’t need to get into a three point contest with them.

12 new players so Vegas still trying to figure them out a bit. Eye test tells me they look better than UNC

That’s been my takeaway from what little bit I’ve watched… and this nothing against Iowa St or UNC, but they are not physical teams. This will be a much different matchup than what we’ve seen so far in Maui.

Also… not excited about Memphis getting extra rest… us tipping off 5 hrs after the other semi is ridiculous. UM did play an OT game two days ago, so maybe that helps balance it out.

Just noticed KD Johnson is a backup getting 20 mins or less for a bad George Mason team. Oof. We sure made some upgrades.

KD is one of those players who was the exact same player the first game of his freshman season as he was his senior year at AU. Could be effective at times, but the screw he had loose was ultimately a limiting factor.

On the other hand, Tre is doing well at Michigan. I wish we still had him. Bruce wanted to keep him but he ghosted us once we were linked to guards in the portal.

Not sure who we will put on PJ Haggerty but dude is a maestro at getting to the foul line. I'm guessing Denver. Prepare to be frustrated watching us foul him

He has gone to the line 54 times in 6 games (and made 45). For reference, Denver leads us in FT attempts with 24.
