What if freeze misses on another portal qb?

Then he's done. Plain and simple. He's got the support. He's got the wr crew. He's got a seasoned o-line. Everything's in place to attract somebody.

I don’t know why people keep asking this question. Even the staunchest Hugh defenders have all said he has next year. If he sucks, he is gone.

No doubt. And I'd be shocked if we picked up anymore this year. Every one we do speaks volumes and Hugh should get credit though.

His offense was also moving the ball up and down the field when he trusted Thorne

That is a ridiculous statement. Thorne missed wide open receivers in EVERY Auburn game I have watched him play. The inability of our head coach to do something about the horrendous QB play for EVERY game points to incompetence of the coach.

He’s recruiting his arse off..

I am sick of hearing about recruiting when we see the stupid play calling over and over in EVERY game. I am going to do what all Auburn fans should do now. Stop going, stop watching,….it is that bad.

You just don't what you're talking about plain and simple. There were countless stats and little nuggets that showed the offense was working. We were just turning the ball over too much. Thorne fricks up alot. I've never said any different. But in between the frick ups he moved the ball.

He tried. Then we lost the arkansas game on the back of more turnovers. And then PT stepped back up and played two of his better games in the second half against Arkansas and the Oklahoma game. Then the pick 6 happened and the braces that were put to hold his confidence together broke and Hugh broke with them. If he was gonna stick with PT he should've just took his hands off the levers and lived with whatever happened. The missouri gameplan is where he really failed.

You are delusional. I hope your inability to see reality does not cause you to run into anything when you walk around in your house.

Best of luck to you and the Auburn football team, I am out.

You haven't said a single thing with any substance. You're just screaming clichés and the first thing that comes to your mind. You don't understand the nuances of watching football.

Yeah, me too.

Can I coach a football team? Hell no.

Do I have to have a nuanced watch of the game and dive deep into a pile of statistics (that you can pick and choose to make a point) to tell that a guy is a bad coach? Hell no.

Losses. Going on two losing seasons. No improvement 9 games into season 2. Team finds a way to lose week after week and falls apart in 4th qtr. Watch the coach speak and you can see he doesn’t know what to do.

No nuanced watching required.

We've got a splitting of guys who are too jaded from the the last couple of years to see things from the immediate point of view and guys who are too emotional and can't see anything about the program aside from immediate dissolution of the football program. The truth is somewhere in the middle, as usual.

Some people have talked so much hateful shite they ain't even worth the time plating the crow up and serving it to them.

They should just eat their ribs, drink their tequila, and listen to the JSU game on the radio on Saturdays from now on.

Im not sure if you are friends with Hugh or what but you are broken. Hugh is doing a horrific job and everyone can see it. Pretty much every decision he is making is wrong. He does not have one single good moments since he started with Auburn.

I have never had the opinion that he should be winning championships right now. But he should be beating the teams that are less talented than him. He is not. None of them. The only teams he can beat are the teams from a lower conference. There is no crow to eat. He has been a total failure up to this point

I personally will continue to eat ribs, drink tequila and not like Hugh regardless of how many players he buys. That is all he is doing right now. Lets not confuse that with recruiting.

And I will continue to watch and pull for Auburn regarless of the horible coaching hire they made just like I have for over 40 years

There are a lot of fans who personally disliked HF. Others who thought AU would become instantly better or it would be a straight line. Almost every good player on the team is a transfer or underclassman.

If he doesn't have a serviceable QB next year with big improvement, I'll join the hate train, but I wasn't expecting much this year when we missed on the transfer QBs.

He has faults. He'll cost us games if he can't get some things to click upstairs. He could be a completely different coach when he's coaching with confidence, we don't know yet. I didn't have an issue with him til the Oklahoma game and now the season has snow balled on him and he's coaching like a man that's lost it. It's rough to watch. I want a guy that can win it those situations just like yall. But he gets one more year from me.

What exactly did he do last year that kept you on the bus? Lose to Alabama on the last play of the game in the most excrutiating way possible? Lose to NMSU at home while being a 24 point underdog? New Mexico State !!!!

I dont know why you were OK with him up to the OU game. He was a failure way before that

He has zero big moments since he stepped off the plane

Yeah man, if you don’t agree with me about Hugh, you should just watch another team.

WTF? We are Auburn people. More so than some hired gun coach.

Yep, Pretty much.

That and the usual dwindling minute QB sack,
plus more prime-time referee minutes with a turnover fumble,
and more of getting the ball on the two. Just the usual 2024

And they did it in front of the 2014 team. It might be me but I'm imagining they're pretty much whale-shite low at the moment.

You are right, what am I saying!! So foolish of me…

These are the “not nuanced” things I have thought

QBs should throw the ball to wide open receivers instead of 5 yards over their head…
In a close game with a stud RB the play call should not be pass on 1st and 2nd down…
Play calling should recognize our passing offense is a weakness and our running offense is a strength…

Your thoughtful critique of my reasoning has shown me the error of my ways.

Connor lew is coming back. Jeremiah Wright has another year and I remember them talking about another guy, Dillon wade, I think, on one of the podcasts.
