Just now getting to watch the On3 call in show…

Our highest rated offensive player is Var Johnson. Our only 4 star starter on offense.

We have 1 player on the roster which would be the junior class is Jarquez Hunter.

So what happened? The roster happened and players and coaches just couldn’t get the energy going or want to

From that junior recruiting class. That Jarquez was a part of. He’s the only player on the roster from that class. I think the ‘21 class

How many SEC teams Vandy included only has 1 4star in their starting lineup on the offensive side of the ball?

Teams with 10 3stars and 1 4star finish season with 6-6 records.

Our offensive roster is bottom of the barrel stuff.

I am curious if we get an auburnanalysis review. Jeremy Kill has figured out Freeze's offense. I am guessing its the RPO attack they have solved.

They had 2 defensive packages depending on what personnel was on the field. We didn’t execute.

When we went 4 wide it was rivaldo outside slot inside blocking TE inside and an outside WR outside.

Everytime we brought the blocking TE I to the box both safeties would come down in the box creating essentially a 9 man box. Same think if we were in standard 12 personnel. They also made Thorne keep on the run pass option. They jumped the pass routes and crashed the edges on Hunter. Only read is to pull and run. They tackled well in space.

If we went light in alignment they went cover 3 keeping the safeties back allowing the short throw and then rallied to tackle. Or if we tried to run out of that they had 7 in the box with 5 blockers.

The answer to both is sideline throws deep. We have zero WRs capable of making those plays. We tried a double move with MJJ Thorne tossed it up and MJJ didn’t even attempt to go get the ball. You gotta fight for that thing. Also breaking a tackle or 2 in the sit down routes in the zone would help as well

Sorry I’m rambling

New mexico state's last 5 classes ranked 113, 108, 112, 126, 119. They really should never ever ever ever come to Auburn and get paid to kick the shite out of them

So basically we need to counter their strategy by going long but cannot because we cannot do that well enough to keep honest. Hooks was hurt or something? What a disappointment he has been.

Does it really matter what they were ranked? Every thing they touched turned to gold. They were doing toe drag catches for TD on 4th down.

That is correct. Plus a little run blocking at least at the point of attack would have been nice.

On defense they attacked the Inside backer on pass plays to move the sticks and in the run game attacked the star position. We bring the star in to help set the edge on outside runs and they killed Scott all day. So adjustment was to play 5 tech on the outside of the tackle but the guard was able to climb to the linebacker so a simple cut back got the running back to our safety on which ever side field or boundary and he either ran around them or carried them 6 yards after contact.

They outplayed us in every way.

Like I joking said last night I bet our ball boys sucked yesterday to because everything did

I’m not a big RPO fan.

We really don’t have the skilled QB or WRs to make that work consistently, and it puts our offensive linemen in “conflict” more than the defenses safeties or linebackers.

Linemen downfield is a point of emphasis now. I don’t think average players can run this RPO and make plays consistently.

So we’re relying on “stars” now to justify the unforgivable loss that happened Saturday?

We got our eyes beat out by New Mexico St.

Thorne appeared to have plenty of time in the pocket several times in the 1st half, only to check down to Hunter for minimal gain. Are the receivers so bad that Thorne had NOTHING, or is he afraid to let it go?

So you're saying Kill didn't do a better job of coaching up than Hars and Gus and this Year's?

(Maybe just me - but I think he excelled - as in over achieved)

etc:Kill not Krill

I dont know what this means. And now I am sad.

I am not saying we didnt have any stars. Personally I was asking Corch how Kill has been attacking Freeze while here and at Liberty because it seems Kill is providing a fat blueprint against Freeze, especially since we all can acknowledge that Aggie team is nothing special on paper.

I remember there was one play that Thorne missed Jay Fair streaking across the field on a 10 yard crosser.

We only ran like 15 plays in the first half. I am guessing Thorne was frustrated from that alone.

How many 5 yard slants did brother freeze call? Or to the tight ends? It doesn’t seem like the middle of the field was used at all, and that would’ve helped Thorne.

It's been an issue all year, regardless of who is playing QB. Our WRs are straight garbage and can't separate.
