I would personally like an upgrade to play calling and using a tight end. Maybe not a run up the middle after a first down. Maybe a crossing route. That would be an upgrade.

Chair backs for every seat with a cup holder.

I have heard this a lot but Im not sure its a great idea. It will reduce leg room
and make it harder to stretch out and jump across rows of seats.

The guys in front of me a few years ago had the seats and it really reduced the leg room behind them.

Just another observation

The current plan is two small video boards on the other side.

It’s a lose lose. Like you said there’d be less leg room with chair backs. W/o chair backs like it is now, LE that’s there for security get complaints about overly fat people being partly in someone else’s seat. As somebody who works security 2 to 3 games a year id love to tell said fat arses to lose weight but I’d get complained on.

make it old and nasty and intimidating again

This.

Clean up the fan areas but leave the exterior alone. And I agree, I hate the damn JJvision. Biggest waste of money in AU athletics history (and that includes the $49 large we're on the hook for with Gustav).

Do they still spend most of the time showing the crowd waving to the camera?

That or interviews with the a volleyball player or something else no one cares about.

TV has gotten so good that it’s hard for me to really care about seeing games in person.

There's really no question that watching on TV is almost always a better viewing experience. Also, a lot cheaper, easier, less time consuming, allows you to watch other games.

What you lose is being part of the game. Making noise, high fiving complete strangers after a great play, being there for the Prayer in Jordan-Hare, the Kick Six, or LSU 2010 (when it was became clear we were watching something very special).

To each his/her own; while watching at home can be attractive, there are compelling arguments for attending too.

Tear down Haley Center so you don't have to see it peering over JH.

I usually try to go one time a season. Went to tbe LSU game last year. Live too far to have the joy in attending nearly every home game. And that’s not even getting into finances.

My routine is one big game early in the season whether kickoff non conf game and/or LSU A&M type, one cupcake to bring the kids to (they are little) and then if we are making a run like in 2017 I will go UGA and/or Bama, SECCG etc...

If we have 3 or 4 losses going into November can't justify the big bucks/time to watch us lose to UGA or Bama. I didn't miss either for many many years.
