Name the players that we have lost in the Chizik era that would/would have made the biggest difference had they lived up to their expected potential?
You have about two full rosters of players to choose from

QB Tyrik Rollison from the class of 2009

Since we ended up with Cam Newton, I don't think he would have made the biggest difference.

We would have had him post-Cam though (2011, 2012 and possibly 2013)

Dyer is the obvious answer but he just about fulfilled his potential in his two years. He could have gotten better but we saw his greatness.
I see some of you saying Rollison but he hasn't exactly been tearing it up at his stops post-Auburn so that may be a wash too.
I don't think this was by any means the best player we lost but I feel like last year could have been a little less sucky if Trotter had stayed one more year.

Rose or Florence. Maybe J. White at LB.

Jessel Curry because him leaving opened the door for Holland to become a starter.

Ed Christian and Eric Mack. We could use some experienced guards right about now.

Dyer was immediately replaced by another kid that rushed for 1,000 behind a bad OL. RB is the most expendable position on a depth chart so anyone that says RB is mistaken.
Someone from the QB, OL, DL, or LB corp would be the obvious and most logical answer.
ETA: What would Mike Dyer have done that would've changed last years outcome anymore than what Tre Mason contributed? Ask yourself that.. then ask yourself what would a competent QB or playmaking LB would've done to change the season. Same goes for OL or DL where we might have lost someone.
You can come up with the names of players we lost to attrition but a RB should be last on the list of people missed.

A little less sucky with Trotter? You base this off his two good games he had? not sure Cam the ultimate football cyborg would have helped.
