Riley is 6-13 against ranked opponents at USC.

Next week likely will even more. Bama has a good QB.
But he has also turned it over 7 straight games in a row.

Our defense is competent when compared directly to our offense, but our defense is NOT stellar when compared to other SEC defenses.

Coming into yesterday Auburn had the 17th ranked defense nationally in SB+. But there were 7 SEC teams ahead of us. So Auburn both has an extremely efficient defense when compared to the rest of the country, but it's middle tier compared to rest of the SEC.

If we can get pressure on him like Oklahoma did, make him very uncomfortable, then we have a chance.

You have someone better that we can hire? Now do Kiffin .... Breaking news: USC has sucked since 2005

My point is so many people are hoping for a splash hire but this "splash hire" has been pretty mid. I don't think Kiffin is worth all of the fuss he's getting. Since finding the next elite coach is a crap shoot I'd personally rather hire a up and coming good coach than overpay for a coach that would only leave to restart his clock on being on the hot seat like Riley.

I am disappointed in Kiffin's maturity level but he is every bit worth 12 million just for the offense alone.

He has a maturity problem that makes it hard to like him. I am no Ole Miss fan and I am clutching my pearls for them.

If the LSU offer is legit Lane is going to have a base of at least 14 million. I really like Lane as a coach but I don't think he's worth making him highest paid coach especially given the maturity concerns.

Redundancy is redundant.

It is very common in many languages to be redundant for emphasis, particularly the Romance Languages derived from Latin.

In fact, in many Latin countries the lack of a double negative would be considered poor grammar. For reference, AI:

quote:

Yes, double negatives are common and grammatically correct in Spanish, where they reinforce a negative statement instead of canceling each other out

You guys can save this for future reference.....before you post.

While true if you dig a little deeper you’ll see some impressive games. Most of those 13 loses have been by 1 score many have been by 3 or less points.

Usually the big loses have been to top 5 teams like Oregon and ND

There are some bad loses sprinkled in but for the most part USC just isn’t to the level of their competition at no fault of Riley. I think he’s done a very respectable job

He would be on my list above Summral but below others

Then you would be willing to take a risk? There is a lot at stake here. An up and comer can go either way and our program can't afford another setback. There is no margin for error here.
