I have heard that more than once today.
Sumrall told he would interview DJ. Then later was told by Cohen that he was working on DJ's contract for pay raise & extension
So if you heard that from a company that you were interviewing for what does that sound like?

Hoke stated that it wasn't true, and Golesh was in play. Blowhard said that nonsense and Golesh came in the picture this morning.

You did, but it would not be true. Sumrall was not hired after his agent jerked us around. We moved on. Gator fans are upset, with Billy Napier part 2
ETA: I am not a Cohen fan, but he got this one right and we were the first domino.

Pay article from King has some good info of the process. The take aways from me. We are all on on NIL. Franklin wanted the job but bombed the interview. Morris and Key knocked their interview out bit weren't chosen due to fit and not wanting to leave Tech. Sumrall wanted UF. Golesh really wanted Auburn. Lashee isn't leaving SMU. Lea is an odd fit.

I 1000% believe we could have had Summral but went with Golesh. Was it the correct move? who knows but kudos to Cohen for not doing what everyone thought he would

I just need to know if we're going to keep DJ. The rest of the hires can fall where they may. He is the most important person right now. Even over any recruit. Lock his arse down and make him happy. I'm sure he has some hurt feelings, but hopefully he can look past that.

Where else is Durkin going to go? Old piss with a lame duck coach and a roster that is about to be gutted by Freshwater? Florida? Sumrall was mad about having to keep him at Auburn. No p5 program is looking at him for HC. So where is he going to go?
