Gave up 17 first half points. Allowed Bama to almost eclipse their per game rushing average in the first half. I wouldn't call that great.

I imagine there are a ton of other statistics that we managed to hold Bama to the under.

Bama's running game was decent but nothing earth shattering.

I am happy to say Durkin only did "good" if "great" is too much praise.

I mean this is a different scenario with Durkin being an interim, but that absolutely falls on the HC as an overall management issue. This team proved all year long that they were undisciplined and poorly coached.

Correct but thats not on a coach period Coleman has been doing this at a high level for so long it’s a given

If nothing bad that happened is because of Durkin what did he do well?

he took a team that couldn't compete and had us driving to tie the game in the IB. He took an inept O and made it look serviceable. I am not sure if Durkin is the right call or not..............but he has done absolutely nothing that shows he can't do the job.

The only undisciplined plays I saw was a face mask and a couple,of offsides, The big penalties on roughing and the one PI that kept drives gong were pure Horse shite.

I didn't agree with all those decisions in the moment because I didn't trust out offense to have more chances. They got things fixed and moved the ball easily in the second half.

Ultimately, we were in the redzone with 3 timeouts and :35 seconds left. Time wasn't an issue at that point.

Hindsight he probably could have called a TO before Bama's 4th down play but other than that everything he did pretty much worked.

Well clock management doesn’t matter when your higest paid player fumbles,

The fumble more than likely kept the heat off of his back.

Our players were not cohesive enough as an offense to be dealing with another big factor in time constraints. Durkin should have preaching tempo and getting out of bounds trying to preserve the clock. Or he could have called TO to give Daniels a breather.

Also from JGT, there’s a recruiting lunch tomorrow and he thinks they’ll try to make the hire before then and possibly try to get the hire in town for the event. In his defense, he said he thinks this is the hope but not sure they’ll pull it off.

Auburn has been competitive in literally every game this year. Like unironically every single one.

Kentucky. we lost 10-3. (unless you call that "competing")

UGA. we had 40 yards of O for the entire second half.

Do you want me to continue?

I mean frick me. He couldn't get tackled in bounds either.

It was just more of the same, a close loss. Freeze has consistently done that over the past 3 years.

Does anyone think he's not going to hire Durkin? Just curious.
