Gus had one season as a g5 hc to my recollection....a decent year at ark state with people he didn't have to recruit.

He has also had one good year here.

Saying that's equivalent to a "great g5 coach" is dishonest.

I'd be really happy with this. He's an old-school kind of guy (he looks a lot older than 48). Defense-minded, but they have a well-balanced, high-scoring offense.

My best AU buddy has been at Klieman's alma mater, Northern Iowa, for 20 years. He says he's very highly thought of there.
