I tired to go to AUFamily when I was banned here last season. I didn't even make it an entire day for shite talking Shiver last year. Apparently his momma post over there.

Mainly the one two years ago that was called back. Are we actually arguing that Shivers isn’t fast?

There is something about those super fast guys like Shivers and even Schwartz. They dont really have great moves. They are explosive in the open field but being shifty and fast is not the same. For a while, Schwartz looked like a superfast tank. you know if he got out in the open he was not going to be caught but he didnt have the moves to get there.

I see that some in Shivers. He is a powerful little dude but he just cant seem to get in the open field.

I think that is typical in track guys.

They don't have the type of hips and flexibility to make cuts in football. Schwartz has a little more cut ability, because he is lighter than Shivers probably.
Shivers has more power in his legs ofc, so he can drive it more. (can't forget his power he used in the infamous Alabama TD).

Schwartz did a little better last year. His freshman year, he had no lateral movement at all. He did seem to juke a little better last year. It could be that he is paying more attention to what is out in front of him and making adjustments earlier.

Either way, it was an improvement.

Another frustrating thing about Gustav's offense since 2015.

It's probably just my perception, but it seems that in the past we were much better at getting mismatches on opposing defenses and getting those fast guys in space where they could turn on the jets.

Well I mean of course it is his fault. He controls everything for every player

Gus has never been a match up coach. His attempts to get a mismatch are making substitutions then running the same plays with different guys on the field.

Pretty sure I was criticizing the part of the team that he has some influence over, namely the offensive scheme.

I seem to recall a big part of his offense when he was OC was to use motion to disguise where his skill players were going, then get the ball in the hands of the guy with the best opportunity to pick up big yardage. It still seemed to me (again, quite possibly only my perception) that we were able to do that consistently when Nick was QB, but really haven't done it very well since.

Now if I was complaining about defensive alignments or punt coverage you would have a point.

They have this feature now where they block you from even viewing the site. What a great feature for a site that makes money via advertisements.

You have to suck up to the mods or you're banned. Mine is a lifetime ban but I've been back on multiple times. They block your IP but a vpn can get right around that. They are idiots. I got banned for telling a mod to stop stalking me because I called him out for his idiotic idea and taking Josh Moon as an insider about Bob Stoops becoming AU's coach.

Not gonna lie I saw that conversation go down and was extremely proud of you Even brought it here so we could snicker about our crown jewel telling off a football player’s mom.

Shiver’s mom was telling everyone that Shivers had less than 2% percent body fat and I told her that wasn’t even physically possible. She kept arguing telling me how she knew how hard her son worked. I told her Long distance runners have more than that. But everyone acted like I was supposed to shut my mouth and let her make a fool out of herself. I wasn’t trying to be mean about it lol

I remember some of that.lol.

I got chastized by her too for posting that I didn't think Shivers was an every down back, and lacked certain skills to be the starter or the 'go to' RB.

She lit into me, being pretty negative an reactive telling me I was a hater, and ofc there are posters over there that suck up to her and like that a player's parent is posting. Geez.

I have no problem with her supporting her son, but if you are going to be a poster and let everyone know who you are, you better have some thick skin and take the bad with the good.

But it is fun sometimes to see posters fall all over themselves to be on the 'right' side of a discussion. :)

Which site was Jake Holland's dad on? That had to be a brutal experience for him.

If we could have merged Jake and Eltoro, we'd have had the best linebacker ever.

Yea, if we subtract Jake Holland back from the merge of the two.

He wasn’t athletic and he was dumb as a box of rocks.

It really is something that Auburn’s roster was pathetic enough for him to start.

Jake Holland was one of the worst LBs I’ve seen start for Auburn, but just to be nice...

he did finally have a single noteworthy play in the 2013 Iron Bowl. Helped on a fourth down stop IIRC

also wasn’t he the one that had Aaron Murray down before UGA’s last touchdown that really wasn’t a touchdown in 2013?
