Well looks like a group is suing Auburn over the spontaneous Baptism. So yeah... LINK

I have shared it before, but that group only bullies organizations that cannot afford the legal fees. It will bully and win against the rural city hall with a nativitiy scene, but as long as Auburn has lawyers on its retainer then Auburn will be good to go.

Interesting how a group from Wisconsin with no affiliation with anything occurring in Auburn, AL feels it has a right to infringe on these individuals right to express their religious views… Hate filled puppets led by Satan himself

That group wins a lot. And they get the nativity scene city halls a lot.

They don't have a decent legal case here. All participants did so of their own free will.

They hate God.

I sent them a scathing letter that said, "get fricked. War Eagle"

They’ve gone after Auburn having Chette Williams as a team chaplain in the past. Theyve been doing this for a very long time

One of their main spokesmen is Ronald Reagan's son, oddly enough.

I am tired of being the bad guy here but what will one more conversation hurt. I am a Christian that has fallen short of his grace, but I am advancing their argument. I think the group is more worried about peer pressure leading to the baptism since Bruce, Freeze, and Butch are all out there doing it.

I do not like talking about religion and politics, so I will let someone else take this away if they are so inclined.

If Bruce is out there giving baptisms then I am going to do it.

Don't think they are suing. Says threatened to sue. They can kick rocks.

Pretty sure we had this conversation when they were going after Chette.

If you get peer pressured into a baptism, then choose not to believe afterwards, what harm has happened to your life?

Plus peer pressure or not, you made a decision. All the players are at least 18 years old and should be able to make adult decisions.

However, on the flip side you’re preventing Freeze from expressing his religion. Just because he’s a coach, he can’t have a personal life?

My work prays at some meetings. I’m not a big prayer person and think praying in groups like that is weird but it doesn’t really bother me. I know there’s people I work with that aren’t religious at all and they just go with it and move on with their day.

I’m personally not a fan of these things because it’s mostly people get swept up in emotion and turns out to be meaningless in the person’s life. Once the high wears off, they’re back to doing the same ole thing. But if people want to do them, let them do them.

WTF are their damages? Do they want a damn apology or something? Can you "unbaptize" someone? That would be a pretty creepy ceremony.

He was in my karate class back when Reagan was in office.

His Secret Service agent was a far more interesting person.

He was a modern dance guy so he was somewhat of an athlete. He could do all of the kata moves well, but no so much for power.

Mas Oyama's dojo fielded the first American to win the Japanese International. Not a school for poofies. When Shehan Oyama came back from a visit to Japan, there would be blood on the matts for weeks.

You do know that John and Jesus were Jewish, right? It was a Jewish ceremony. Sorta of a pre-cleansing before the messiah came. Jesus a Jew saw good in it and participated because not on when on earth was he totally God but also totally human
