A running thread for Penn State week Auburn and SEC football happenings

- Council and Jones are listed as the starting guards against PSU. Both had been still competing

- Jarquez Hunter and Shivers are both listed at the #2 spot behind Bigsby

LSU RB John Emery is out for the season because he wasn’t registered in the right classes. Pretty big deal because their running game has really struggled this season

Harsin Presser. I’ll just add everything to this post instead of making a billion posts in the thread

- First road game for this staff so they’re spending some extra time on the travel details and organization

- RB Shivers, WR J Johnson, CB Simpson are all day to day.

- RB Hunter’s role on the team will continue to grow

- Staff is blasting crowd noise and music all week at practice to simulate the atmosphere at State College. Says they know it wont replicate it

quote:

Bryan Harsin on Bo Nix: “I thought he was solid” in Week 2

Ball security needs to improve, but he thought Bo’s decision-making was good. Adds that receivers need to help out too and make some more catches (there were some drops vs. Alabama State).

We gud. Superbad.

And I would repeatedly hit that all day in the day.

Now? No idea, LOL. Why not. I'd still hit it just cause.

The 4th and goal play Saturday when they didn't get the play off, was not good.

Me either. I did believe we'd see him more vs. Akron though. Must not be too serious whatever it was.

Bo spent a good 5 seconds trying to signal the crowd to be quiet. That was the dumbest part.

I wondered about Akron but he scored on 2 of his 3 touches. He’s not going to be a workhorse but he’ll be used as a weapon in the end zone and higher leverage situations. I think we need him in order for the team to be it’s best. Hope he heals up from whatever it is

I think it's covid related.

Yes, but it could’ve been good practice for away game crowds in that situation

One thing I'm not liking so far about the Harsin era at Auburn is the being so secretive on the injury front.

I understand they don't want any opponents getting injury info, but as a fan, it really bugs the shite out of me that we don't know if a guy is gonna be out for 1 or 10 games.

Yeah, I was going to say. Dumb from a fan perspective but Bo ain't gonna be able to shush the Penn State student section this week.

While true you still have to come up with a silent count and a plan for noise. I'm sure that was not high on the list of things to cover for a home game against an FCS school.

that is more important to me than knowing who may or may not play.

That’s what J Ferg made it sound like. Apparently he wasn’t at the game but was tweeting about it, which makes me think he is in COVID protocol. Don’t know what his timeline is for return though. Hopefully he can make the trip this weekend, although I’m pretty excited to see Hunter get some Carrie’s against better competition.

BS....Nix knows you don't run a clean play when the line and backs can't hear the cadence .....

Want to blame someone? or for once find fault where it actually lies....The sideline coaches have that responsibility.
