Well it isn’t tough when the home team is determined to pass you the ball.

It pays to never talk in absolutes when you have zero control over it.

No where to be found.

We were just lucky last night. Best we could play without Broome. Worst Miss State could play. lol

If you’re looking for an update from me, I think you missed the point of the thread.

I posted this last night. It’s not a bump.

AUSC still has pertinent points. I said before but his reaction to Broome's first injury clued me in on how deep he thinks the gravity of the situation is on a lot of things.

Neville has its advantages!

His only pertinent point imo is the rebounding situation. It was a concern before the season for me, but was allayed for much of the nonconference season.. but has crept back in. And without Broome it is THE concern.

There are no perfect teams, players, or coaches.

But we are really really good at all 3. So in a great season if someone wants to doom and gloom constantly then I, along with many, will call them out.

And the proof of his trolling is his inability to come eat his crow. We’ve all had to eat some humble pie but looks like he got his feelings hurt because the Auburn Rant was just to mean to him.

I agree on the rebounding but I have tried to explain with our defense that guards so hard man up once a player gets into the lane you have 3 interior shot blockers, Dylan, Chaney, and Broome trying to erase the shot. Denver has been incredible on run down blocks the past couple weeks. Blocking shots isn’t conducive to rebounding.

So it’s a give and take do you want the opposing offense to shoot 42% and be more neutral in rebounding or do you want them to shoot 34% and lose the rebounding battle. Granted we can still improve on rebounding and I think we will.

Last night that one big wouldn’t take a shot from 6’ out because Dylan was lurking there. Not the one with long hair but the other brother.

If we got a better 4 and a better transfer PG we would be perfect

I dont really like the shot blocking. It's conducive to fouls already

Yea, the way we do it can be dangerous. Way too much we have multiple guys going after the same shot/fake. It makes it even riskier. If timing is on and other team doesn't try and do ball fakes, it works out for us normally. It also usually abandons someone on the backside for either a rebound or pass for an easy bucket if the shot is missed or offensive guy does a good shot fake.

Problem is, it can get you into foul trouble real real quick. We generally have enough on ball pressure that the shots are difficult enough.

Yeah, it would have been nice to get a compliment player to Chaney but with Broome playing the 4 some, it was gonna be hard to attract a stellar transfer there. And Chaney has proven to be improved and is doing good work. I'm not sure they thought anything other than depth when adding Ja'Heim.

The pg position was a different story. I honestly think the staff thought they had a nice player in Pegues. Kinda feel sorry for the guy, it seems like the team/moment/position is just too big for him and now I'm afraid it's between his ears with his play and confidence.

Yeah I think the 4 situation would have been tough to improve on because it was part of the promise with bringing Broome back... but if we had either hit on Pegues or been able to hold on to Tre Donaldson the roster would be as perfect as you can get in college hoops
